Season


Format:

16 teams, each plays the others twice - home and away - for a total of 30 games each, over 30 game weeks.



Scoring points:

3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss.



Table order:

1. points won; 2. points in head-to-head matches; 3. goal difference in hth matches; 4. goals scored in hth matches; 5. away goals in hth matches (only if 2 teams are tied); 6. total goal difference; 7. total goals scored; 8. fairplay ranking; 9. draw.



Relegation to the league:

1 team from Parva liga

2 more teams from Parva liga possible to relegate through Play-offs 1/2



Promotion from the league:

1 place: promoted to Parva liga

2-3 place: enter Play-offs 1/2 with two Parva liga teams for 2 places in Parva liga



Relegation from the league:

13-16 place: relegated to Treta liga



Promotion to the league:

4 teams from Treta liga



Promotion and relegation of II teams:

II teams cannot be promoted.

If any of them finishes on a promotion or a play-off spot, the next best team in the final table promotes or participates in the Play-offs 1/2 instead.

II teams are to be relegated regardless of their league position if their first team gets relegated to Vtora liga.

In such case and if the II team is above the relegation zone, the best placed team in the relegation zone keeps its place in Vtora liga instead.
