Minute   Description
That is all for tonight folks. Thanks for joining us, goodbye!
The international break now takes centre stage for the next 10 days but Inter's squad will leave in great spirits. They are pushing up the table and proving to be force in Europe. For SPAL, it is back to the drawing board for Semplici and his coaching team.
90'+4 One last throw of the dice for SPAL as they appeal for a penalty but it is not given and that should be that.
90'+2 SPAL clear and they have two minutes to grab an equaliser.
90'+1 CHANCE - Perisic dribbles in from the left wing and bursts towards the SPAL goal but his left-footed strike is blocked by Gomis. Corner given...
90' Four minutes of stoppage time at the Paolo Mazza...
87' SPAL cannot seem to get the ball forward and Inter are doing a good job to frustrate them and win free-kicks.
86' Sub Luiz now joins Felipe. This game has become too stop-start and SPAL are shooting themselves in the foot here.
Felipe joins the long list of players in the book after a poor tackle.
85' Inter now look happy to draw the fouls and it is hardly a surprise. They have five minutes plus stoppage time to hang on as they try to make it six wins in a row.
84' Schiattarella is now into the book and SPAL's card record continues to get worse.
83' Missiroli makes way in midfield and Semplici sends on Moncini.
82' A huge round of applause greets Icardi as he comes off for Gagliardini. No hat-trick for the Argentinian tonight!
81' The home fans are still behind their team but Icardi's second has clearly upset some of the SPAL players. The goal came just as Semplici's men were starting to push for a winner but that is why Inter continue to pay the striker the big bucks to remain at the San Siro.
80' Miranda is the latest man into the book after a sloppy challenge from behind.
79' Change for SPAL as Valoti comes off and Luiz enters the field of play.
78' Perisic has been quiet tonight but that is a fantastic assist. His pass split the SPAL defence in two and Icardi did the rest.
GOAAAALLLLL!!!! SPAL 1-2 Inter - Icardi grabs his second of the afternoon and that is thanks to a beautiful finish inside the box. The striker beats the offside trap and opens his body before lofting the ball past Gomis. He made it look so simple!
77' A change in midfield for Inter as Valero makes away for Martinez.
CHANCE - Valoti makes a run into the box and peels away to the far post but he cannot latch onto a cross and Inter are delighted to win a goal kick.
72' GOAAAALLLLLLLLL - SPAL 1-1 Inter! Paloschi with one of his first touches draw his team level. His fresh legs make a huge difference as he sprints into the box and gets behind Miranda to tap home! GAME ON!!!!
71' WIDE - Nainggolan bursts into the box after an Icardi through ball but the midfielder is denied as he tries to find the bottom corner. He fails to strike the ball cleanly and a goal kick is given.
67' Inter follow suit and Keita is replaced by Politano.
66' First change of the night sees Antenucci brought off. After his penalty miss that is no surprise and he is replaced by Paloschi.
65' Inter are doing enough to see this game out at the minute but a second goal would confirm it. SPAL continue to create the odd opportunity but their confidence will disappear if they concede a second.
62' OVER THE BAR!!!! - Play resumes and SPAL win a corner which Inter fail to clear. While three or four defenders discuss who should clear the danger, Petagna nips in and prepares to fire home. However, he leans back from six-yards out and he hits his effort into the stands. It looked harder to miss but the crowd are now back on side.
60' The tempo has dropped here as Keita now goes down after a challenge from Petagna.
57' We will have a break here as Vecino has suffered a head injury. He wants to continue but needs treatment after a cut.
55' SPAL work the ball from their own box to the edge of Inter's and Antenucci is the man who decides to shoot. The No.7 opens his body up but tries to outfox Handanovic by going to the near post. However, the striker fails to generate the power needed and Inter continue to lead by a single goal.
53' It is good to see plenty of passion on show from all the players but that heated exchange was over a couple of soft set-pieces. Now several players need to be careful for the rest of the contest.
52' Missiroli hits out at the official and he is carded for dissent.
The referee is card happy at the minute but Vrsaljko deserves his yellow after he caught Felipe once the ball had gone.
51' Lazzarri should consider himself a lucky boy. He is already on a yellow card but he handles the ball on the wing and pulls back Keita.
50' Valoti now goes into the book for a foul near the halfway line.
48' The corner comes to nothing but that is a positive start to the second half from the home side.
47' SPAL start the second half with a well-worked move down the right and Vrsaljko is forced to concede a corner after a dangerous ball in.
46' We are back underway in this Serie A encounter...
SPAL just need to tidy up their attacks and they can draw level on home soil. Inter might have won five in a row but they need more from Perisic, Keita and Nainggolan if they are to see this game out.
The referee brings an end to a dramatic first 45 minutes at the Paolo Mazza and we should definitely have more goals this evening. Icardi's header in the 14th minute was a real moment of quality but SPAL should have drawn level four minutes later. Antenucci will be disgusted with his penalty miss but Handanovic has been called upon on numerous occasions.
45' One minute of stoppage time at the end of this first half.
44' CLOSE - Valoti retrieves possession on the edge of the Inter box and he picks his spot but Handanovic is on hand to produce a stunning one-handed save. It remains 0-1 thanks to the Inter stopper!
43' SAVE - SPAL win a corner and Cionek gest a touch to it to play in Felipe but the defender cannot beat Handanovic who punches the ball away.
41' Inter will be confident they can hold on until half time and the break should do them the world of good. Spalletti needs to calm some of his squad down and they could be two-nil up after Antenucci's penalty miss.
39' CLOSE - Inter win another corner and a near post header nearly plays in Icardi at the far post. The skipper looks destined to volley home but Cionek shows incredible reflexes to spin and clear the danger.
37' Another corner won by the visitors but Skriniar cannot meet the cross but does win another set piece...
35' Inter win a free-kick but SPAL clear easily and Spalletti's troops have simply not done enough from their set pieces tonight.
33' SPAL continue to throw bodies forward but Inter are now starting to meet them head on. The game is now scrappy as a result but there's a nice tempo to it and we may get more goals before the break.
31' Lazzarri becomes the first man into the referee's book but he does all he can to plead his innocence. However, that looked like a strong challenge in the middle of the park.
29' SAVE!!!! Inter break forward and Keita has Icardi inside him ready to tap into the net. The winger tries to play his team-mate in but Gomis throws himself across his box to keep the scoreline at 0-1.
27' Inter will look to get more joy down Perisic's wing before the interval, with the Croatia international struggling to get involved at the moment.
25' Another corner for the visitors but they are now penalised for being offside. SPAL are being pegged back slightly but they have started to win more of the midfield battles as we approach the half hour mark.
23' Inter win a corner but they are immediately stopped in their tracks after Skriniar handles in the box.
20' The penalty has fired up the home crowd and the players are now feeding off their energy. Inter need to regroup here before they make another mistake but it is now becoming a very even contest.
18' MISSED!!!! Antenucci calls rank and steps up but he fires his spot kick wide of the left-hand upright. Felipe won the penalty after latching onto a sloppy clearance before turning in the box but he was brought down by Miranda. The home side were gifted a chance to draw level but it remains 0-1.
16' SAVE!!! Inter fall asleep in their own half and Handanovic is forced to fly across his goal to deny Petagna's right-footed drive.
14' Right-back Vrsaljko claims the assist after his cross took a slight deflection off Fares and bounced into Icardi's path.
GOAAALLLLL SPAL 0-1 Inter! Icardi breaks the deadlock with a diving header at the near post and that is another fine example of his ability inside the box. Inter had two attemps at Gomis' goal but the second fell to Icardi who peeled away from his marker to stoop low and head home.
12' Inter work the ball down the left wing but the cross from Perisic is poor and he fires straight into the hands of Gomis.
10' Despite their recent poor form in front of goal, SPAL have done their best to get forward at every opportunity. Former Leeds United man Antenucci is the latest to try and score but his header is too gentle and Handanovic scoops it up with one hand.
8' TACKLE!!! Petagna dribbles his way to the edge of the box but the striker is stopped in his tracks as he is about to shoot. Great defending from Inter.
7' Back-to-back corners for the visitors but the best they can do is shoot over the bar. Nainggolan latches onto the second delivery but he volleys behind into the stands and it remains 0-0.
5' The smoke from the pre-match flares has now finally cleared and Inter are starting to settle into their rhythm. They win a corner, with Asamoah trotting over to go and take it.
3' SPAL decide to go short and then win a throw-in but they give the ball away and Inter will start again from a goal kick.
2' We have an early break in play after Schiattarella goes down and SPAL win a free-kick...
