The world's attention now moves to next week as Liverpool travel to Newcastle and Man City host Leicester. Who will end up winning the tightest Premier League title race in years? Fortune may have smiled on City again today, but this rollercoaster ride still isn't over. Hold on tight. That's all for now. Goodbye!
City return to the top of the Premier League table by a point, holding 92 points to Liverpool's 91 with two games left to play. What a breathless title race this is. Burnley stay 15th. They'll be in the Premier League again next season.
How crucial could that 3cm be? Manchester City come away with a crucial victory after Aguero's shot finally broke Burnley's resistance. Burnley did as much as they could but City desperately needed the win and found a way to get it. There may have been a touch of fortune to the goal, but City will take wins however they come now. Two more wins is all they need to be champions.
90'+5 FULL TIME: BURNLEY 0-1 MANCHESTER CITY
Burnley try to get the ball into the mixer. Vydra almost steals in behind Walker but Kompany makes a crucial interception. And that's it!
Gundogan is booked for taking his time over the free-kick. Who can blame him?
90'+3 City get the ball away. David Silva wins a foul as he skips towards Burnley's goal. They should be safe now.
90'+2 City are taking no chances. Guardiola sends on Otamendi to defend this set-piece. Sterling is the man sacrificed.
90'+1 Jesus clumsily strays offside, handing Burnley possession at a crucial time. Gudmundsson goes over under pressure from Kompany. Burnley have a free-kick in a dangerous position.
90' Westwood lumps a ball from the back towards Barnes. Laporte lets it bounce but Zinchenko gets rid.
89' Blue Moon starts to ring out around Turf Moor as City's fans find their voices. There will be four added minutes.
87' Lowton gets the first booking of the game for delaying City's set-piece. It's been a hard-fought but fair game on the whole.
86' City are wisely slowing the game down now with Stones in no hurry to move the ball along. David Silva wins a set-piece by Burnley's corner flag.
83' City have decided now's the time to shut up shop. Aguero walks off to applause. Stones comes on for him.
82' Cork finds McNeil whose attempted cross from the left sails over Ederson's goal. The ex-Man Utd youngster hasn't had his best game today.
80' Lowton manages to win the ball off Jesus but his pass out is abject. Gundogan fires a direct low pass to Sterling who finds Bernardo Silva. Taylor is fouled and Burnley get the free-kick. This match isn't over yet.
79' Gudmundsson wiggles away from Zinchenko and finds a teammate. Burnley work the ball to Taylor, who surprisingly beats Bernardo Silva and Laporte clears with a well-timed header.
77' Tarkowski does well to block another Aguero shot. Burnley are venturing forward now. Lowton is successfully stopped by Zinchenko.
76' Burnley make another substitution. Hendrick goes off for Gudmundsson.
73' Walker bursts past Taylor again and fizzes a low cross across the box. It has too much pace on it for Aguero to reach and Mee gets rid. City have a throw on the right.
72' Burnley decide a change is needed. Vydra comes on up front in place of Wood.
69' There's a brief lull as City step off the gas temporarily. They have the goal they need for now. Barnes blasts a shot over from range, then Zinchenko is judged offside from Laporte's pass.
67' Apparently Aguero's goal crossed the line by 29.5mm. This really is a title race of fine, fine margins.
64' Guardiola reacts immediately. Jesus comes on for Sane. City want another goal to seal this.
63' GOAL! 1-0 CITY! Aguero gets on the end of a low Bernardo Silva cross as the Portuguese player cuts inside. Aguero tries to sweep the ball in but has his shot apparently cleared off the line by Lowton. The ref checks his watch - it's over the line by an inch and City's players and fans go wild. They have the breakthrough they need!
Zinchenko curls in a deep cross from the left that Taylor heads away. The pressure is still on Burnley though...
59' McNeil fouls Walker. Sterling skips past a challenge to dance into the Burnley box but takes one too many touches on the ball, allowing Lowton to get a nick on it and Heaton to claim.
57' City take the corner quickly. Burnley get the ball away briefly but they just can't find an out-ball at all right now. David Silva, Aguero and Sterling twist in the box with Sterling having his final shot blocked. City get another corner. This is relentless.
56' Burnley gain some brief respite but City are on the attack again. Bernardo Silva teases Taylor to the right of Burnley's box, touching the ball back to Walker. Walker's cross clatters out for a City corner off Cork.
50' Burnley are very lucky. On second viewing, that Bernardo Silva shot was blocked by Barnes who leant his arm into the challenge. That could easily have been a penalty for handball.
47' McNeil picks up the ball and dribbles at Walker, who eventually fends him off. The City fans are doing their best to spur on their team.
46' Burnley get the second half underway. City have 45 minutes to find a winner to regain top spot. Can they do it?
45'+2 HALF TIME: BURNLEY 0-0 MANCHESTER CITY
45'+1 Westwood's attempted ball in from wide clatters out for a throw in City's defensive third. Lowton takes the throw short and Hendrick's flick finds its way to Cork, whose shot is blocked. That'll be that for now.
45' Zinchenko is tackled by Lowton as he looks to execute a cross and Lowton immediately looks forward for Barnes. It's a touch powerful but the striker gives his full-back the thumbs-up. There will be two added minutes.
44' Burnley soon lose possession. Sane picks the ball up outside the box - his first shot is blocked and his second tamely dribbles through to Heaton. Guardiola looks exasperated.
43' Burnley get their first spell on the ball for a while. Lowton lofts the ball down the line for Hendrick, who wins a throw off Laporte.
41' Aguero proves that point by thumping a shot towards the top corner of Burnley's goal after their defenders give him just a tiny bit of room in front of their box. Thankfully for Burnley it flashes just past the post.
39' Heaton rises high to claim a lofted ball in from Gundogan. Burnley look like they should be able to make it to half-time but City are always capable of surprises.
38' Burnley hassle City upfield but can't win the ball, leading them to start racing back into position. Zinchenko tries to feed Aguero but overcooks the pass. The City full-back gets a mouthful from Sane, who wanted the ball earlier.
36' City work the ball to Zinchenko who's in acres of space on the left. The Ukrainian flashes a cross across goal that's picked up by Bernardo Silva on the other side. Barnes pickpockets the ball from Sterling and goes on the counter, forcing Sterling to take him out. The heat on Burnley simmers down again for now.
35' City loft the corner kick out to the opposite corner of the penalty area. They can't create anything from it though. Burnley are defending stoutly.
30' Bernardo Silva runs directly at Taylor before rolling the ball back to Walker. The full-back crosses it in but Burnley head it clear. They can't counter-attack but soon get a goal-kick.
28' Bernardo Silva tries to squeeze a shot in at the far post after some great play from City as Burnley's defence overcommit upfield. Heaton drops low to claim it. The Portuguese took a fraction too long to pull the trigger, allowing the keeper to set himself.
25' There's a delay as Walker receives treatment - he slipped just prior to Wood's chance and had McNeil accidentally tread on his hand. Thankfully he's fine to continue.
23' Ederson did well to sweep up there - Wood's first touch was just slightly off and with that the chance was gone. He's surely the best keeper off his line in the Premier League.
21' Westwood lifts the ball towards Mee whose volleyed shot goes blazing out of play. Burnley need to make the most of their set-pieces.
20' Kompany's in the thick of things today. Barnes deliberately backs into Kompany as the Belgian goes for a header and wins Burnley a free-kick. The pair exchange pleasantries after.
18' Burnley's fans shout for handball after Cork chests a ball down in City's box and has his pass blocked by Kompany. The players know better - it hit Kompany square in the face.
16' City win another corner as the ball goes out off McNeil. Burnley manage to get it away without much difficulty, but that's the thing about City. The wave will just come crashing back.
14' Laporte overplays a pass towards Sane that the German has no chance of reaching and it goes out for a throw. City try again on the opposite side as Walker aims for Sterling but the outcome is the same. City haven't quite found their rhythm yet.
12' A few boos ring out as Laporte clatters into the back of Wood. Burnley only get a throw-in out of it. Barnes concedes a foul of his own seconds later, handing possession back to City.
10' The game has started to take a predictable shape - City are dictating the game while Burnley are sitting deep looking to make things difficult for them. But can they do it for the whole 90 minutes?
9' City win their first corner of the game down their left off Tarkowski. They take it short and work it to Bernardo Silva wide on the right. David Silva ghosts in at the far post to try to get on the end of his namesake's looping ball but there's too much power on it.
8' Kompany plays an uncharacteristically bad pass straight to Barnes. Thankfully for the City captain Walker gets back to tidy up the mess.
6' City are starting to play with their usual zip. After the two sides exchange possession Walker bursts past Taylor and whips a cross across goal. Mee is there to boot it away.
4' Sterling picks up the ball on the right flank and attempts a one-two with Bernardo Silva. Bernardo Silva's shot bobbles out for a goal kick; Sterling claims there was a deflection somewhere but the referee disagrees.
3' City win a free-kick after Hendrick is called offside. That's some good early pressure by Burnley on the visitors.
2' Burnley start the game brightly, pinning Man City into their own half. Mee lofts the ball forward and Kompany heads the ball out for a throw.
1' The defending Premier League champions Man City get this crucial game underway!
The two sides enter the pitch to a vociferous noise. Burnley are in their usual claret-and-blue shirts and white shorts; City are in their classy black away strip.

Will a shock result today turn this tense title race on its head?
