Minute   Description
That will do it for our live coverage of Huddersfield Town v Tottenham! We hope you enjoyed following along and will join us again soon!
Tottenham's substitutions at the half changed the way they played with more focus and possession in central midfield. The attack was a little less involved in the second half, and were less effective when they were which lead to them not scoring after half time. The defence conceded some late free-kicks which was surely concerning to Mauricio Pochettino, but Gazzaniga handled them well saving the attempts and, eventually, the three points.
Huddersfield weren't awful today, they just weren't good enough... again. They conceded control of the midfield in the second half and never truly looked like getting back into it. Wagner should try starting Mounie over Depoitre to see if he can get more out of the striker position but, if they can't, Huddersfield will either have to address it in January or suffer relegation in May.
90'+3 FULL TIME: Huddersfield 0-2 Tottenham
90'+2 Don't panic Tottenham fans, Kane is back up and moving freely.
Jorgensen goes in hard on Kane and the England striker stays down.
90' There will be three minutes of added time.
Son is withdrawn for Sissoko in the dying moments of the match.
88' Huddersfield have not scored a home goal all season, and it does not look like it will happen today either.
86' Billing, who has been fouling people all day, is shown yellow for pulling Son back on the counter-attack.
85' Pritchard comes off for striker Steve Mounie who, it's worth noting, leads the league in aerial duels won with 47!
83' Kane outmuscles Jorgensen to get onto the end of a lofted ball, but there's no support so he has to play the ball back to Winks. That should have been more meaningful than it ended up being.
81' Winks is the second Tottenham player to go into the book after fouling Hadergjonaj on the wing.
80' SHOT! Lossl failed to claim the ball out of the air and it fell to Wanyama who struggled to get the shot off, and the goalkeeper recovered in time to catch the attempt.
75' Billing rises above his marker, heads the ball goalward, but Gazzaniga is able to claim it!
74' Tottenham concede another free-kick just outside the box. Can Huddersfield punish them here?
71' Formation shift for Huddersfield now as Schindler is withdrawn for the more attack-minded Isaac Mbenza.
69' Kane plays Son in behind the defence, he shoots, and it hits it straight at Lossl. He could have scored either side of the 'keeper had he aimed his effort better.
67' Rose makes contact with Hadergjonaj after the ball had gone, and is shown a yellow card.
64' Lucas makes a fantastic turn in the centre circle, beats his man and again has Kane and Son on either side of him but he opts to shoot... but it flies harmlessly over the bar. His decision making has been a bit poor thus far.
61' Apropos of nothing, Danny Rose is having a fantastic match and has seemingly beaten out Ben Davies as the first-choice left-back at Tottenham.
58' Dier comes through the back of former team-mate Alex Pritchard, and Huddersfield will get another set-piece opportunity!
56' The new midfield pairing of Winks and Wanyama are finding far more joy passing through the midfield than Dier and Dembele did in the first half. Tottenham are taking control of this match now.
53' Lucas goes down in the box, but the referee does not award Tottenham their second penalty of the match. It did look like the defender managed to get his foot on the ball.
51' Billing takes down Winks in midfield and is called for the foul. That's Huddersfield's 10th offence of the match.
48' Wagner may look to Steve Mounie sooner rather than later as well as the Frenchman leads the club in shots on target, assists, and chances created.
46' We're back underway from John Smith's Stadium!
Double switch for Tottenham at the half as Dembele is also withdrawn with Winks entering the fray.
Vertonghen looked to be struggling with his leg a bit and apparently failed to shake it off as he is replaced by Victor Wanyama at the half.
That was far from a perfect first half for Tottenham, but they'll absolutely be pleased with the score line. Lucas and Son have casued plenty of issues for Huddersfield's defence with their pace and free-roaming tendencies. Kane had a solid match last week, but his performance thus far today seems to confirm that he is back to at least something near his best. The central midfield has been poor with Eric Dier finding it particularly difficult to pass the ball to anyone in a Tottenham shirt. They have lost focus from leading positions recently, but you'd expect them to cruise to a win now.
Huddersfield have actually played fairly well thus far, leading or equalling Tottenham in possession, passes, and duels won. The downside is that they are often left playing the ball around the box rather than into it, with Depoitre rarely involved in the first half. The defence has struggled to contain Spurs' attacking players and have often resorted to fouling in order to stop dangerous moves. Down two goals already, it would take something special for David Wagner's side to get back into this match.
45'+5 HALF TIME: Huddersfield 0-2 Tottenham
Lucas goes on a run with Kane and Son flanking either side of him... but he misplaces the pass! That should have been Tottenham's third!
45'+3 Depoitre took a right footed shot that rattled the underside of the cross bar! It's deemed to have not gone over the line but the home fans are furious!
45' There will be five minutes of added time.
44' Kane gets taken down again, this time by Jorgensen, who is shown yellow for his troubles. The foul may not have warranted a card by itself, but that one felt like the referee trying to control the increasing physicality of this match.
42' Son beats his man on the left flank and dribbles into the box, but his touch is too heavy and it's cleared for a Tottenham throw.
40' The fouls are racking up for both sides now as Trippier pulls Lowe down by the arm, giving the hosts a free-kick in a dangerous area. Tottenham have struggled defending set pieces of late, can Huddersfield take advantage?
39' Billing takes down Rose on the touchline and gets called for the foul. No card is given.
37' Depoitre takes a shot from an acute angle inside the box and it's deflected behind for another Huddersfield corner.
34' GOALLLL!!!! Kane converts his penalty, sending Lossl the wrong way! Huddersfield 0-2 Tottenham.
33' PENALTY! Son played Rose in behind the defence Hadergjonaj clipped him from behind in the box!
31' SHOT! Lowe took aim from about 40 yards out and stung the hands of Gazzaniga who could only parry it behind! Corner to Huddersfield.
29' Kongolo is stretchered off the pitch with Hadergjonaj coming on in his stead.
25' Trippier held his run at the edge of the box, received a pass back from Lucas and put in a perfect cross right onto Kane's forehead!
GOOALLLLL!!!! Kane heads home a Trippier cross for the opening goal! Huddersfield 0-1 Tottenham.
23' Kane gets taken down again, this time by Schindler. Free-kick to Tottenham.
21' Things are getting a bit physical in the centre circle here as Dembele and Kane both get cut down by Huddersfield players. No cards are given.
18' A ball is lobbed forward to Kane who beat the backline... but it takes too long to find him, and Jorgensen recovered and cleared it away.
17' Neither side have been able to make much meaningful progress over the past couple of minutes. Tottenham do look the more dangerous when they do manage to move forward though.
10' CHANCE! Lossl does fantastically well to stand his ground and parry away a shot from Kane! The Tottenham man probably should have squared the ball over to Son.
7' Trippier sends in a cross towards Danny Rose who heads it at goal... but he misses right of goal! That was Tottenham's first real chance of the day.
5' Penalty shout! Lowe goes down under pressure from Lucas, but the referee deems it fair play!
3' It's been Huddersfield who have been able to string their passes together thus far with Tottenham struggling to keep possession in the early stages.
1' Craig Pawson blows his whistle, and we're underway from John Smith's Stadium!
Will the hosts be able to pick up their first win of the season? Can Tottenham continue their long run of results against Huddersfield? We'll find out together!
Spurs have struggled a bit creatively this season and that could well continue today as both Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen miss via injury. The latter will especially be missed as he leads the club in chances created with 12.
Tottenham substitutes: Fernando Llorente, Erik Lamela, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Victor Wanyama, Ben Davies, Alfie Whiteman.
Tottenham (3-4-3): Paulo Gazzaniga, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen; Kieran Trippier, Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele, Danny Rose; Lucas Moura, Harry Kane, Son Heung-min.
Just two changes from Huddersfield as Hogg and Pritchard will get the start with Van la Parra on the bench and Elias Kachunga not named in the team.
Huddersfield substitutes: Steve Mounie, Rajiv Van la Parra, Isaac Mbenza, Tommy Smith, Jon Gorenc Stankovic, Florent Hadergjonaj, Ben Hamer.
Huddersfield (5-3-1-1): Jonas Lossl; Erik Durm, Mathias Jorgensen, Christopher Schindler, Terence Kongolo, Chris Lowe; Jonathan Hogg, Philip Billing, Aaron Mooy, Alex Pritchard, Laurent Depoitre.
Now let's take a look at the players who will be involved today.
Today could be a long one for the hosts, as Huddersfield come into this match ranked last in Premier League goals, shots on target, assists, chances created, goals conceded, and the table!
