Minute   Description
That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
Goals have been a problem for both teams, with Cardiff still yet to score. Next up for Huddersfield is a trip to Stoke in the Carabao Cup, whilst Cardiff also face Championship opposition, they are at home to Norwich in the cup competition. The Terriers then head to Goodison Park next weekend to face Everton in the Premier League and Cardiff face Unai Emery's Arsenal side at home.
It's ends up goalless between Huddersfield and Cardiff, meaning both teams are still yet to win a game in the Premier League after three games played. The game turned in Cardiff's favour after Hogg was shown a straight red card for an altercation with Arter in the penalty area, allowing Cardiff to press forward and create a couple of chances. However, neither side could break the deadlock in the latter stages and they had to share the points.
90'+4 FULL-TIME: HUDDERSFIELD 0-0 CARDIFF
90'+3 Cardiff counter! Reid is played in behind, but Lossl races off his line to gather at the feet of the striker just in time. He had to time that just right, otherwise it would've been a Cardiff penalty.
90'+1 CLOSE! This time it's Huddersfield with the opportunity! Kongolo gets forward down the left once again, whips a low cross into the box towards Depoitre. Bamba completly misjudges his clearance, which flicks it towards the Huddersfield striker, but luckily he didn't expect the ball to come to him and he is unable to tap the ball in, so the ball goes out for a corner.
90' There will be a minimum of four minutes of added time played.
89' Penalty shout! Morrison with another long throw into the box, which Bamba once again tries to flick on at the near post, he goes down under pressure and appeals for a penalty, but the referee is not interested.
88' ANOTHER CHANCE! Reid goes so close to scoring for Cardiff. Ward holds the ball up well, lays it off to Paterson and his cross finds Reid whose shot dribbles agonisingly wide of the far post. It seemed to take an age before going out of play, but it took a slight deflection on the way through and Cardiff have a corner.
86' Cardiff are really trying to push for that goal now, any goal from either side now would surely wrap up the victory with very little time left on the clock.
82' Decent chance! Paterson gets in behind the Hudderfield defence, chips a cross into the box which Reid gets his head on but it doesn't have enough power on it and instead falls to Murphy who was races onto it at the far post. However, Murphy blasts his effort high and wide under heavy pressure by the Terriers defence.
80' Final Huddersfield change, which is a straight swap in attack as Mounie is replaced by Depoitre.
78' Cardiff are pressing for a goal now, they are able to free Murphy and Paterson down the wings who had been forced to defend for large periods, but since the sending off, they have threatened going forward.
76' CLOSE! Just wide by Morrison who has a free header in the penalty area after a superb ball into the box by Ralls. How did he miss? The skipper should be hitting the back of the net from that distance, he was completely unmarked but managed to head it wide!
75' Cardiff make their third and final change of the afternoon, with Camarasa replaced by Reid. An attacking change by the Bluebirds.
73' CARDIFF CHANCE! Ward with the best opportunity of the game for Cardiff, but he is denied by Lossl at his near post. Murphy cuts inside onto his right foot, tries to work space for a shot but runs out of room and lays it off to a teammate, who then sprays it out to Ward just inside the penalty area, but the striker is denied by the feet of Lossl.
71' Set pieces and throw-ins still look like Cardiff's best chance to score here, they are trying to get the ball into the box at every opportunity.
69' Morrison with another long throw into the box which Bamba manages to flick towards goal, but it's straight at Lossl who makes a comfortable save. Cardiff are playing much better now, they can start to press forward and go for a goal themselves, perhaps even nicking the three points.
68' Huddersfield make a change, with Diakhaby replaced by Mbenza.
65' The game could really open up now, with Cardiff having the extra man for half an hour or so. It will be interesting to see how Hudderfield react to this situation.
63' Arter is booked as well for his part in the altercation.
RED CARD! Hogg is given his marking orders! It's a coming together between the Terriers skipper and Arter in the box. Arter feels that he is being held by Hogg as the corner comes in, but nothing is given and then Hogg forcibly shoves Arter to the ground. Replays show it could even be a headbutt, after the two players go head-to-head, but either way Hogg's afternoon has ended early.
Huddersfield race forward on the counter, but there seems to have been a coming together in the Terriers penalty area as Arter is down in the box and a few players are squaring up to each other. The referee is going to have to speak to his linesman to see what went on.
62' Ward forces a corner after putting Hadergjonaj under pressure, set pieces may be their best opportunity to score this afternoon. However, Huddersfield defend the corner well and clear the danger.
61' Cardiff are struggling to get a touch of the ball at the moment, it's all Huddersfield but they are being frustrated by the visitors who are continuing to defend well.
59' Cardiff make their second change of the afternoon, with Zohore replaced by a former Terrier, Danny Ward. A straight warm up front for the Bluebirds.
54' This is much better from Huddersfield, they are showing more drive and tenacity to get forward and create chances, this game is theirs for the taking.
52' The resulting corner causes Cardiff a few problems as well. Mooy takes the set piece, which Mounie once again gets his head to, but his header is blocked, the rebound falls straight back to him and he fires an effort towards goal but it bounces off a couple of players in the middle of the box, before Cardiff eventually clear the danger.
51' GOOD SAVE! Etheridge is forced into making his first stop of the game to deny Mounie. Kongolo whipped a cross into the box, the striker rose above his marker at the far post and powers a header at goal, but the Cardiff keeper does well to make the save.
50' Decent opportunity! Zohore does well down the right and races down the touchline, he gets a cross into the box which is met by Murphy in the box but his header goes well wide.
49' Not much seems to have changed in these opening few minutes compared to the first period, the game is flat and lacking any pace. Wagner doesn't look very happy on the sidelines, will we some some early changes?
47' Zohore puts Billing under a lot of pressure inside the Huddersfield penalty area, the midfielder dwelled on the ball slightly too long and the striker sensed an opportunity. However, Billing manages to play the ball back to Lossl just in time and win a free-kick as Zohore goes into the back of him.
46' The second half is underway!
Cardiff will certainly be the happier of the two teams, they have frustrated Huddersfield and are defending pretty comfortably. Warnock will be hoping they can remain strong at the back and perhaps nick a goal late on, to score their first of the season. More pace and creativity needed in the second half.
It's goalless at the break between Huddersfield and Cardiff, in a game that has lacked any goalscoring chances due to a lack of pace and intent by both sides. Kongolo has performed well down the left for Huddersfield and rippled the side netting with an effort from the edge of the box, but that's as close as either team has come to scoring.
45'+5 HALF-TIME: HUDDERSFIELD 0-0 CARDIFF
45' There will be a minimum of five minutes added time played.
43' Murphy has barely touched the ball this afternoon, the Cardiff winger could be one of the most threatening players on the pitch, but he is being forced to defend deep and do his defensive responsibilities, as Huddersfield push their full-backs high up the pitch in search of success down the wings.
42' Mooy whips a cross into the penalty area, which drifts over the head of Morrison, but it's slightly too heavy for Mounie who sticks out a leg to try and reach it, but he is unable to get on the end of it.
40' Not long left to play until the break now, we will surely have a few extra minutes to play due to the injuries sustained to Hamer and Mendez-Laing early on.
38' Kongolo has been the most threatening player on the pitch so far this afternoon, he is causing plenty of problems down the left. The left-back runs at Paterson and gets inside, forcing the winger to stick with him, he almost goes down in the box after Paterson looked like he was about to make a tackle. However, he manages to get to the byline and drills a low cross into the six-yard-box but Morrison reads it and makes the block.
36' The home supporters sound a little frustrated at the moment, their team need to pick up the pace of their play to stretch the Cardiff defence and carve open opportunities in the final third.
34' Cardiff are continuing to put heavy pressure on the Huddersfield players, which is forcing the hosts to shift the ball quicker and make mistakes. At the moment the Bluebirds are doing a good job of staying in their defensive positions, moving across the pitch and they look pretty comfortable.
32' We're past the half an hour mark now and it's still goalless at the John Smith's Stadium, with no real chances for either team as of yet, in a game that is lacking pace and intent going forward. Can either team break the deadlock before the break?
28' The game is very scrappy which will suit Cardiff as they try to grind out a result, a point away from home in the Premier League is always a success. Huddersfield are frustrated as they are unable to pick up the tempo and dictate the game.
26' Much better from Huddersfield going forward, they have more momentum in attack and the crowd are starting to get behind them. They worked it well out to the right, but the Cardiff centre-backs are comfortably dealing with any balls into the air at the moment, just the final ball missing for Huddersfield.
24' Neither keeper has been forced to make a save yet, with Kongolo's shot still the best effort of the game. Not much action in either final third so far.
22' Cardiff are doing a very good job of putting pressure on the Huddersfield defence and midfield high up the pitch, which is forcing the hosts to play the long ball out from the back, rather than play it out like they prefer to do, which is frustrating the Terriers.
20' Cardiff have a go with a long throw-in deep inside the Huddersfield half. Morrison comes forward from the back to launch it into the penalty area, however Lossl reads it well and gathers the ball in the air, under very little pressure. An opportunity wasted.
17' Mooy is playing in a slightly higher midfield position this afternoon, which is allowing him to be more creative on the ball and support Mounie up front, with Hogg and Billing providing defensive cover.
15' Cardiff are struggling to keep the ball at the moment, they are unable to string a few passes together and instead are forced to play the ball long, which is always a strong area for the Bluebirds, they look very strong in the air and are winning most of those battles.
13' Huddersfield are forced into making the change as well, Hamer is unable to continue and Lossl takes his place in goal.
Close! Kongolo ripples the side netting with an effort from the edge of the box, which had Etheridge scrambling across his goal. It all came from a cross from Mounie which Cardiff didn't defend well at all, a poor clearance lands straight at the feet of Kongolo, who was unlucky not to score.
12' Hamer has to do his first bit of running since the collision, after a long ball was flicked on by Cardiff. The Terriers keeper doesn't look comfortable at all and Lossl is warming up on the sidelines.
10' Here is the early Cardiff substitution with Mendez-Laing replaced by Paterson.
8' The stretcher is on for Mendez-Laing who appears to have come off the worse of the two players, the Cardiff man is unable to continue. However, Hamer appears to be carrying on for now.
6' Both players look like they could be in trouble here, it's doesn't look good and both teams might be forced into making a change early on.
5' We have a stoppage in play here as Hamer and Mendez-Laing are down injured after they collided in the box. Mendez-Laing produces a superb piece of skill to flick the ball over Schindler and nick it away from Jorgensen, he then races into the penalty area but Hamer rushes off his line to meet him and blocks his effort.
4' The atmosphere is excellent at the John Smith's Stadium, the home fans haven't had much to cheer about so far this season but they have faced two teams who will be battling it out for the title come the end of the season. Perhaps today's game will be one that Huddersfield will have targeted to get three points from.
3' The Terriers take the corner short, before whipping a ball into the box aimed at Mounie. However, Cardiff have plenty of height in the penalty area and they manage to clear the danger.
2' Huddersfield are enjoying a spell of early possession here, they are keeping the ball well and have won an early corner down the right, after Bamba was forced to block a cross into the box.
1' We're underway!
The teams are out here at the John Smith's Stadium and kick-off is just moments away! Stay tuned for all of the match action.
David Wagner has made five changes to his Terriers team, as Jorgensen, Mooy, Hogg, Diakhaby and Van La Parra all come into the starting line-up, with Smith, Lowe, Pritchard, Stankovic and Sabiri making way. Meanwhile Neil Warnock has made just one change to his squad, with Mendez-Laing replacing Hoilett.

Let's take a look at the teams...
Cardiff lost their opener against Bournemouth but took a point from a goalless draw with Newcastle last weekend. Neil Etheridge could become the first Premier League goalkeeper to save a penalty in three successive games if he keeps out another spot-kick. The Cardiff keeper saved a last minute Kenedy penalty against the Magpies to ensure that his side picked up their first point. However, the Bluebirds are the only team left in Premier League yet to score a league goal.
Both teams are looking for their first Premier League win of the season. Huddersfield have endured a tough start to the season, they were beaten 3-0 at home to Chelsea on the opening day, before suffering a 6-1 thrashing at Manchester City on Saturday and therefore are rooted to the bottom of the table.
