Minute   Description
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
David Unsworth will sign off his spell as caretaker manager with a win as Everton have crushed West Ham 4-0 this evening. A hat-trick from Wayne Rooney was the driving force behind the triumph, including a stunning effort from the half-way line to effectively kill off the contest. West Ham will be frustrated by their performance as they had the home side in trouble in the early stages of the second half, but failed to capitalise on their opportunities as Manuel Lanzini missed a spot-kick. It was not a happy return for David Moyes to one of his old clubs, with the Scot facing a massive challenge to right the Hammers' fortunes.
90'+3 The referee ends the contest.
Vlasic sends the ball into the box as the home side look for a fifth goal, but Hart makes the claim.
90'+1 Sigurdsson lifts a cross into the box, but Vlasic is unable to flick the ball on to a team-mate in the box, allowing the visitors to clear the danger.
Calvert-Lewin makes way for Vlasic.
90' There will be three minutes of added time.
89' Lookman replaces Lennon for the home side.
88' Lanzini whips a cross into the box and Rice latches on to the ball with a powerful header, but he guides his effort over the bar.
85' OVER! Gueye surges forward into the final third and he tees up Sigurdsson for a strike, but the midfielder scoops his effort over the bar.
Baningime replaces Rooney, who receives a standing ovation from the home fans in Goodison Park.
82' Everton only have one clean sheet this season and will want to build strength at the back to overcome their recent defensive issues. The next eight minutes and stoppage time are important for the Toffees to claim the shutout.
80' Kenny is alert at the back and he guides the ball back to Pickford, knocking it away from the presence of Sakho on the edge of the box.
78' Sigurdsson lifts a fine ball into the box that is converted by Williams.
GOALLLLLLLL!!!! EVERTON HAVE FOUR! Williams atones for his earlier mistake as he guides a header past Hart into the top corner. Sigurdsson's delivery was sublime and Williams met the ball with a solid header, guiding his effort away from Hart to hand his side the three points this evening.
77' Rice replaces Reid for the visitors.
76' BLOCK! Reid is struggling with a hamstring injury, but still manages to make a vital block at the back to stop a fourth goal for the home side. Kenny's low cross is steered towards the net by Calvert-Lewin, but the defender sticks out a boot and guides the ball behind for a corner.
74' The third Everton goal has taken the steam out of West Ham's attacking effort. They were well on top and had they got back in the game through either Cresswell or Lanzini - they could have pressed on, but they appear to be heading towards another defeat.
73' Lennon weaves his way through challenges on the edge of the box and tries to lift the ball to Calvert-Lewin in the box, but his cross is cleared with ease by the West Ham defence.
70' Pickford is alert at the edge of the box to help Holgate as he shields the ball away from Sakho to allow the keeper to claim.
69' Rooney escapes a booking for a poor challenge on Lanzini. Everything is breaking Everton's way this evening.
66' WHAT A GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROONEY SCORES FROM THE HALF-WAY LINE!!!!!!!!! A SUPER EFFORT! Hart comes off his line to clear a loose ball away from Calvert-Lewin. Rooney seizes on the ball and connects sweetly with his effort. It sails over the heads of Reid and Ogbonna before finding the back of the net. One of the great goals in Premier League history and he completes his hat-trick in the process.
Antonio surges forward into the box and cuts the ball back across towards the penalty spot, but there's no claret shirt there to turn the ball home.
65' Everton have barely been out of their own half in the second period and are inviting the pressure from the Hammers.
63' West Ham are still on the front foot despite their miss from the spot. Unsworth may have make a change to regain control of the contest.
62' Antonio replaces Arnautovic for the visitors.
59' Lanzini drives the ball low towards the bottom corner, but the visitors are denied by Pickford.
PENALTY TO WEST HAM! Williams brings down Sakho and the referee points to the spot. Lanzini will take the spot-kick.
58' Sakho and Arnautovic combine down the right, but the Austrian wastes the opening as he plays a loose pass across the face of goal.
57' Kouyate collects on the edge of the box and he tries to drive a strike through a crowd of blue shirts, but the ball is stopped before it makes its way through to Pickford.
55' The Hammers have shown a stronger intensity since the restart and are putting Everton under serious pressure at the back.
53' Davies fouls Ogbonna and goes into the book.
52' OFF THE BAR! Cresswell raids into dangerous position and Lanzini slides the ball into his path inside the box. The full-back hammers an effort with power at goal, only to be denied by the woodwork. So close for the Hammers.
SAVE! Lanzini is afforded space and time 25 yards from goal and he goes for the strike. Pickford makes a smart save, but the danger is still there for the home side.
51' Masuaku raids down the left and fires a low ball towards the near post. Williams clears ahead of Pickford, making a decisive decision as Sakho lurked behind the Welshman.
50' West Ham have made a bright start to the second half without testing Pickford. However, they are keeping the home side pinned back on the edge of their own box.
48' A loose ball breaks forward for Arnautovic and he has Sakho as an option in the box, but the Austrian fires his cross straight at Pickford.
47' Masuaku keeps the attack alive and floats the ball to the back post. However, Pickford makes the decision to come off his line and make the grab ahead of Ogbonna.
The Hammers press forward in the early stages and win a corner, but the home side are able to clear the danger.
46' Sakho replaces Obiang for the visitors.
We're back underway at Goodison Park.
Changes are coming for the Hammers at the break as the players emerge for the second half.
A brace from Wayne Rooney has put Everton in control of their Premier League contest against West Ham at the break. The Toffees were handed a chance to score from the spot when Dominic Calvert-Lewin was fouled by Joe Hart in the box. Rooney saw his effort saved, but he converted the rebound. The forward then notched his second of the game by firing home at the back post following an incisive break down the right channel. West Ham have offered nothing going forward and need a spark from someone to get back into the game.
45'+2 The referee ends the first half.
45'+1 SCRAMBLE! Lanzini sends the corner into the box and there's a scramble as the ball takes a deflection and bounces towards the six-yard box, but Williams does enough to keep Reid at bay.
Kenny acts at the back post to steer the cross behind, but the threat remains from the Hammers.
45' There will be two minutes of added time.
West Ham win a free-kick in a good position on the right flank and Cresswell will swing the ball into the area.
43' Davies carries the ball forward and tries to slide his pass through to Lennon on the charge, but Cresswell reads the danger and clears his lines in the box. Solid work from the full-back.
41' West Ham are enjoying a strong spell of possession, but Ayew has been a spectator in the opening 40 minutes of the contest - they have to get him involved.
39' Davies tries to get the better of Ogbonna once again, but the defender holds his ground and a promising moment for Everton is quelled.
37' Ogbonna makes an important challenge at the back to head Martina's delivery into the box away from Davies. The full-back has been active down the left for the home side.
35' Sigurdsson pulls back Arnautovic and goes into the book.
Sigurdsson and Davies put the pressure on the West Ham defence on the edge of the box, but neither can muster a quality delivery into the box and the visitors clear the danger.
34' Arnautovic battles down the right flank with Martina, but the Everton defender holds his ground and is able to win his team a goal-kick by knocking the ball off the Austrian.
32' Everton have not been dominant by any means, but they have been clinical in the final third to take control of the contest.
31' Masuaku drives down the left flank and he lifts a ball into the box, but Pickford comes off his line to read the danger and gather.
28' Kenny knocks the ball into Rooney's path and the forward does the rest with a neat finish.
GOALLLLLLL!!!! ROONEY NOTCHES HIS SECOND! Everton double their lead as Rooney converts in the box. Davies was allowed to raid upfield into the right inside channel. He tried to feed the ball for Kenny's run, but the ball took a kind deflection for the home side to travel into the path of Rooney. With the goal gapin, the veteran made no mistake burying his low strike past Hart. Everton are in command.
27' Sigurdsson lifts a dangerous cross into the box from the resulting free-kick, but Kouyate is there to make an important headed clearance ahead of Rooney.
26' Zabaleta goes into the book for his challenge on Sigurdsson.
Sigurdsson wins his challenge with Zabaleta on the left and is tripped by the defender as he tries to break away down the flank.
23' Holgate rises highest in the box and the Toffees are able to clear their lines. West Ham's deliveries from the wide areas have not been the best this evening.
22' Lanzini wins a corner down the left flank. Can the Argentine open up the home side at the back with a quality delivery?
20' West Ham press down the right and Zabaleta sends a deep cross to the back post, but Kenny is there to clear the danger.
18' GOALLLLLLLL!!!!!! ROONEY MISSES FROM THE SPOT BUT CONVERTS THE REBOUND! In the absence of Baines, Rooney takes over the duties from the spot. Hart guesses correctly and makes the save, but he palms the rebound straight back to the forward. The veteran holds his nerve to head home from close range to hand the home side the lead.
Rooney misses from the spot as he fires a weak effort at the net, but pounces on the rebound to score.
17' PENALTY TO WEST HAM! Calvert-Lewin breaks into the box from Sigurdsson's pass and is tripped by Hart as the keeper comes off his line. The referee points to the spot.
16' Kenny moves forward with intent and he wins a corner for his team as Cresswell has to divert the ball behind.
15' West Ham win a series of second balls in the Everton half and it allows Zabaleta to collect and fire across the face of goal. Pickford reads the danger and does well to collect the ball on the edge of his six-yard box.
12' Martina collects on the left flank from Williams and sends a threatening cross into the box. However, the ball does not fall for Calvert-Lewin in the box and the visitors are able to clear the danger.
11' Everton have seen a lot of the ball in the early stages of the contest, but have not made a move into the final third.
9' Holgate rises to clear the resulting corner from danger. The Toffees' defending from set-pieces has been a weakness of late - so that first clearance may dispell nerves at the back.
8' Masuaku raids down the left for the visitors and drives towards the byline. He has support in the middle, but Holgate diverts the ball behind for a corner.
6' Pressure from the Everton midfield forces the visitors back towards their own as Davies leads the charge. The Toffees need a stronger intensity this evening.
3' Calvert-Lewin tries to break behind Reid in the final third, but the forward fouls the West Ham man, allowing the visitors to clear their lines from the resulting free-kick.
1' We're underway at Goodison Park.
FLASHBACK! Everton secured a 2-0 win over West Ham in this fixture last season thanks to strikes from Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley.
STAT ATTACK! Everton have lost just once in their last 18 Premier League matches against the Hammers, which came in March 2016 in a 3-2 defeat at Goodison Park. Dimiti Payet scored a last-minute to guide West Ham to the three points.
West Ham have made one change from their draw against Leicester at the Olympic Stadium. Andre Ayew comes into the team to replace Andy Carroll, leading the line against the Toffees' fragile defence.
Everton have made five changes from their defeat to Southampton last time out. Mason Holgate, Ashley Williams, Cuco Martina, Tom Davies and Wayne Rooney come into the fold this evening, with Michael Keane and Leighton Baines sidelined due to injury.
West Ham subs: Adrian, Sakho, Noble, Martinez, Antonio, Fernandes, Rice.
WEST HAM (4-2-3-1): Hart, Zabaleta, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Kouyate, Obiang; Arnautovic, Lanzini, Masuaku; Ayew.

The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Former Everton manager David Moyes returns to Goodison in search of his first win as West Ham boss. The Hammers earned their first point under the Scot, battling back from behind to draw against Leicester City last time out. The club are still in trouble in the relegation zone, but a win this evening could spark a surge out of the mire at the foot of the table.
Everton are in dire need of a win after back-to-back hammerings. The Toffees were beaten 5-1 last time out on home soil in their Europa League contest with Atalanta last week. They followed that performance with a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Southampton at St Mary's Stadium on Sunday. David Unsworth remains in charge this evening, but reports have suggested that Sam Allardyce is on the verge of becoming the new man in the Goodison Park dugout.
