Minute   Description
Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
Watford end a run of three defeats on the bounce by claiming a vital win to move back into the top eight in the Premier League. Goals from Will Hughes and Richarlison decided the contest, although the Hornets needed to rely on saves from Heurelho Gomes to deny Marko Arnautovic and Cheikou Kouayate in the first half. Marco Silva will continue to attract attention if his side continue to see out wins of this nature, while the in the adjacent dugout, David Moyes has seen the size of the task he faces to save the Hammers from the drop.
90'+8 The referee ends the contest.
Watford look for the third to end the game in style, but Holebas cut back in the box for Cleverley is intercepted by Masuaku.
90'+7 Gray makes way for Carrillo.
90'+6 WIDE! Richarlison searches for his second of the game as he weaves his way through two tackles in the box and fires low towards the bottom corner, but the ball trickles just past the post.
The Hornets are doing a solid job of keeping possession away from the visitors. They're going to be able to see this one out quite comfortably.
90'+4 Reid rises to make contact with Lanzini's cross from the right, but his header goes harmlessly past the post.
90'+3 Lanzini offers a threat down the right flank and he draws a foul from Kabasele. West Ham have an opportunity from the resulting free-kick.
90'+1 Watford are trying to take the pace out of the game, although the energy from the visitors does not seem to be there in an attempt to get back into the game.
90' There will be eight minutes of added time.
88' Richarlison sends Doucoure down the left flank and the midfielder attempts to send a low cross into the box. Reid makes the block and the ball does spin up and hit his hand, but there's not a great deal he could do about it. The referee declines the shouts for a penalty from the home fans.
86' Femenia makes way for Holebas.
85' Femenia is down for the Hornets and may have to make as well.
84' Pereyra replaces Hughes for the home side.
83' Noble pulls down Richarlison and goes into the book.
There's not a great deal of urgency out there from the Hammers. They need a spark to ignite a late comeback here.
82' Lanzini bends a dangerous cross in from the left flank and Gomes has to act in the box to race off his line and punch the ball to safety.
79' West Ham clear Hughes's cross from the right only as far as Cleverley on the edge of the box. However, the midfielder scuffs his effort on the half-volley and Hart comes through a crowd of players to collect the ball.
78' Zeegelaar collects down the left flank and he fires a low ball across the face of goal. The yellow shirts are on their heels in the penalty area, but Cresswell still has to send the ball behind for a corner.
76' Watford are sitting deep and are looking to break on the counter. West Ham are enjoying a good spell of possession, but need to get back into the game quickly.
74' OFF THE LINE! West Ham come within inches of getting back into the game as Lanzini collects in the right inside channel and goes for he blast. His effort beats Gomes, but Kabasele is there on the line to divert it away from goal. The ball appeared to strike his hand after the fact, but the referee again did not see the incident.
Masuaku replaces Arnautovic after a lengthy delay.
71' The stretcher has emerged for Arnautovic, but it looks as though he's going to walk off.
69' Arnautovic is agony on the deck after falling awkwardly on his wrist. He's writhing in pain and it does not look good for the Austrian.
66' West Ham have a battle ahead of them now to get back into the contest. The Hornets did hold a two-goal lead against Everton last week - they're not invulnerable.
65' Carroll makes way for Sakho.
64' Hughes spreads the ball out wide to Richarlison, who does the rest with his finish. However, the midfielder did control the ball with his hand, which was not seen by the referee.
GOALLLLLLLL!!!! RICHARLISON DOUBLES WATFORD'S LEAD! Controversy as the Hornets notch their second goal. Hughes spreads the ball out wide to Richarlison, who surges down the left flank and cuts inside before firing his effort through Hart. The keeper should have done better, but the power of the strike was too much for him to handle. However, replays show that Hughes handled the ball in the build-up to the goal, which went unseen by Marriner. Salt in the wound for West Ham and Moyes.
63' West Ham finally break out of their half, but are unable to maintain their counter. They've done a lot of defending over the last few minutes. Will the pressure tell on their backline?
62' Watford keep the pressure on the visitors, who have been unable to break out of their own half over the last five minutes.
60' SAVE! Watford's first delivery into the box is cleared, but the second from Cleverley is right on the money. Mariappa rises to head at goal from close range, but his header is brilliantly stopped by a point-blank save from Hart. The keeper had no time to react, but stuck out a firm hand to push the ball off the line.
59' CHANCE! Doucoure surges forward to the edge of the box and he slides a pass to Gray to shoot first time, but his effort is deflected narrowly past the post.
58' For the first time in the game Femenia fails to deliver a good cross into the box from the right as he sends the ball over the heads of everyone in the area. The full-back had too much time there if anything.
56' Hughes finds space on the edge of the box and he latches on to Gray's cutback to fire at goal. His left-footed strike is deflected and it allows Hart to make a comfortable save as the ball loops into his hands.
54' WIDE! The game has opened up and Hughes turns on the edge of the box to find Doucoure in space. The midfielder goes for the first-time strike from 25 yards. He gets power and curl on his effort, but it bends just past the post.
52' CHANCE! Arnautovic breaks down the right and fends off the challenge of Britos. He tees up an unmarked Kouyate in the middle, but he can only guide his effort over the bar.
50' WIDE! Femenia raids down the right flank and fires a low ball towards the near post. Gray collects and goes for the strike first time, but can only fire wide of the post.
48' West Ham break forward in numbers and Cresswell runs up down the left to support the attack, but he fails to control Carroll's pass to end the promising break.
46' We're back underway at Vicarage Road.
Watford hold a 1-0 lead at the break over West Ham through Will Hughes' strike. However, the Hammers could have been at the least level or even ahead if not for Heurelho Gomes. The Brazilian made a fine save to deny to Cheikhou Kouyate one-on-one before making a miraculous double stop to keep Marko Arnautovic at bay just before the interval. Both managers will be frustrated as Marco Silva's men allowed the Hammers back into the contest, while David Moyes will rue his team's lack of clinical edge.
45'+4 The referee ends the first half.
WIDE! Richarlison almost makes Arnautovic pay for his miss as he cuts in from the left flank and fires at goal, but his strike drifts just past the post.
45'+3 DOUBLE SAVE! Gomes makes a miraculous save to deny Arnautovic! The winger rises highest in the box to head Zabaleta's cross at goal and his effort takes a deflection to wrong foot Gomes. The keeper manages to adjust to make the first stop on the stretch. However, the Austrian is first to the rebound and fires at goal. Gomes somehow manages to get to his feet and make the block to divert the ball wide. On the third attempt, Arnautovic drills the ball straight into his hands.
45' There will be four minutes of added time.
Carroll has to be very careful as he gets himself involved with Kabasele on the deck. There's not a great deal in the altercation, but referee Marriner has a word with the forward.
44' OVER! Watford break down the right on the counter after clearing the West Ham corner. Femenia drives down the right and sends a low cross into the box. Hughes tries to shoot first time, but his body is turned away from the net and his effort loops over the bar.
42' SAVE! Gomes keeps Watford ahead as Noble slices open the Watford defence to play through Kouyate. The midfielder only has the Hornets keeper to beat, but Gomes anticipates the shot correctly and makes a fine low save to deflect the ball wide for a corner.
41' Cleverley whips the resulting free-kick into the box, but the Hammers are able to clear their lines with ease.
Obiang becomes the third West Ham player to enter the book as scythes down Hughes 35 yards from goal.
39' Zabaleta takes risk down the flank as he tries to dispossess Richarlison. He gives away a free-kick and is fortunate to escape a booking for a challenge from behind.
37' Watford string a series of passes together and shift the ball from right to left to open up space for Britos to raid forward. His eyes light up and he goes for goal, only to smash his effort well over the bar.
35' Arnautovic goes in late on Cleverley and is booked by referee Marriner.
33' SAVE & WIDE! Richarlison plays the one-two with Gray before firing at goal from the edge of the box, but Hart produces a strong save. Femenia latches on to the rebound and shoots from distance and his effort creeps past the post. The full-back is adamant that it took a deflection, but the referee turns down his appeal for a corner.
31' Hughes and Gray continue to combine well as Watford counter. The midfielder flicks the ball around the corner into the right inside channel, but Gray can only fire his cross straight at Hart.
30' Lanzini swings the ball to the back post for Carroll to attack, but the ball goes straight through a crowd of players and the home side clear the danger.
29' Britos brings down Kouyate on the right flank and goes into the book.
BLOCK! Cleverley slides the ball into the box for Gray, who twists and turns and tries to shoot. However, his eventual effort is well blocked by Obiang and this time the rebound does not fall the way of Hughes.
28' Carroll goes into the book as he clips Richarlison late in frustration after losing possession.
27' Carroll takes possession on the right flank and gets challenge by Kabasele, but holds on to the ball. However, yellow shirts surround him and Richarlison comes away with possession.
26' Zeegelaar raids down the left flank and makes a move on Zabaleta, but the cross from Richarlison is cut out with ease by the visitors.
25' Gomes takes a risk at the back as he almost gets caught out by Arnautovic, but the keeper gets enough on his pass just to clear the head of the Austrian.
24' Cresswell has time down the left flank, but he sends his pass too long over the head of Carroll and out for a goal-kick.
22' PENALTY SHOUT! Hughes takes possession and slides the ball into the feet of Richarlison. The Brazilian goes down under pressure from Zabaleta, but referee Marriner dismisses the penalty claim. Replays show it was a decent shout, although it did looked like a slip at first glance.
21' The visitors eventually do go long as Reid sends the bal forward from the back, but Carroll's header trickles harmlessly into the box with no runner following up.
19' Watford are disciplined at the back and are not giving the Hammers the easy option into Carroll through the middle of the pitch.
17' West Ham are trying to get their foot on the ball and make meaningful strides into the Watford half, but they're not having a great deal of success thus far.
15' Zeegelaar raids forward into space down the left to collect Richarlison's pass, but he goes for the cross into the box rather than the strike. There are no yellow shirts in the area to attack the cross, allowing the Hammers to clear.
13' Carroll rises highest in the box to head Zabaleta's cross at goal. He gets the direction, but not the power needed to beat Gomes as the keeper collects.
11' Gray latches on to the cross into the box and scuffs his strike. The miscue falls to Hughes, who finds the net with a clean effort.
GOALLLLLL!!! HUGHES STRIKES! Watford take the lead as Hughes pivots in the box to bury a left-footed strike into the net. It's a scrappy goal to concede as the visitors fail to clear Zeegelaar's cross into the box. Gray has the first attempt, but he scuffs his effort. Fortunately for the Hornets it falls straight to Hughes, who converts with a clean strike.
10' It has been a scrappy start to the game as neither side has enjoyed a spell of possession. Britos sums up the opening 10 minutes by miscontrolling the ball out of play down the left.
8' Carroll is involved in the action again as Kabasele tries to come through to head clear ahead of the forward. This time Carroll is blameless as he stands his ground and Kabasele injures himself by clattering into the back of him.
7' Kabasele lifts the ball over the top of the West Ham defence looking for the run of Gray, but the ball skips off the surface and travels through to Hart.
5' Interesting start to the game for Carroll as he smashes the ball back to Hart from the half-way line. Then he handles as he retakes possession from the keeper's clearance.
3' The blow has brought a great deal of blood from the nose of Zeegelaar. He looks to be ok to continue after getting his nose plugged on the sideline.
1' Zeegelaar takes a blow to the face from Carroll inside 30 seconds. The forward jumped and caught the left-back with his elbow. Carroll might be fortunate to escape without punishment here.
We're underway at Vicarage Road.
The players are out on the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
STAT ATTACK! Watford have lost only one of their last six Premier League games against West Ham, winning three and drawing two.

Watford have made two changes to their side that was beaten last time out by Everton. Adrian Mariappa and Marvin Zeegelaar come into the fold to replace Andre Carrillo and Jose Holebas in the starting line-up. Roberto Pereyra returns to the bench to give Silva options in the final third.

Watford's bright start to the season has began to falter in their last three matches. The Hornets were keeping pace with the top four until recently, but have lost their last three matches on the bounce. This includes their 3-2 defeat to Everton last time out when they allowed the Toffees to stage a comeback after taking a two-goal lead at Goodison Park. Marco Silva will be looking for a response from his side today.
David Moyes takes charge of his first game as West Ham manager this afternoon. He returns to management following an unsuccessful period as Sunderland boss last term, which resulted in the Black Cats' relegation to the Championship. The Scot is tasked with improving the fortunes of the Hammers after Slaven Bilic was sacked following their crushing defeat to Liverpool last time out.
