Commentary

Minute   Description
FULL TIME - CRYSTAL PALACE 2 - EVERTON 2. After a first half which we were treated to four combined goals, the scorers weren't troubled in the second half as the game finished in a 2-2 draw. Both sides had their opportunities to win the game in the second half, but neither team were able to deliver the final blow. In the end, both teams will have to share the points from today's game.
90'+4 Loftus-Cheek with a last ditch attempt to win the match, as he crosses it over to Milivojevic who plants the right foot shot from just outside the box, but it is saved by Pickford.
90'+3 Niasse throws down the gauntlet as he piles on the pressure on Speroni, chasing the ball down inside attacking half for Everton.
90'+1 Kenny with a great clearing header for Everton deep inside defensive half, as he is happy to push it out to concede a throw in.
90' We have three minutes of additional time to play.
89' Kenny with a wonderful ball into the area for Ramirez, as he rises up for the header, but he is under a bit of pressure and his header on goal is a little misguided.
88' Loftus-Cheek with the cross into the box, but there is nobody home for Crystal Palace as Kenny chests it down into the path of Pickford.
87' Puncheon with a challenge on Ramirez inside Crystal Palace's attacking half, giving Everton an opportunity to reload and take the ball into their attacking half.
86' After an action packed first half which resulted in four combined goals, we are yet to see a goal in the second half.
85' SUBSTITUTION CRYSTAL PALACE - Yohan Cabaye's day is done as he is replaced by Jason Puncheon, for Crystal Palace's second change of the match.
83' Cabaye takes the corner kick, with an inswinger of a kick, floating in the air but Pickford comes out and plucks it out of the air for an easy save.
81' Zaha threads it through to Benteke who takes it to the edge of the box, he takes a left foot shot on goal and he kicks it wide of goal. A disappointing miss for the returning Benteke.
80' Sigurdsson lift the ball into the box, but nobody is home for Everton, as it bounces across the face of goal with Speroni able to get to the ball before it bounces out of play.
78' Crystal Palace have found the momentum and they are desperately looking for a third goal to bank only their second win of the season.
76' SUBSTITUTION EVERTON - Everton make their third and final change with Aaron Lennon off and Sandro Ramírez Castillo on. This means that Wayne Rooney will not have any part in today's match, spending the whole game on the bench.
75' SUBSTITUTION CRYSTAL PALACE - James McArthur is given a round of applause as he heads off the ground and is replaced by Christian Benteke Liolo.
74' It will not be long before Crystal Palace make their first change and it looks to be an attacking change.
72' Promising play for Everton as they take it to the edge of the box, but it all breaks down for them with Zaha clearing it away to safety.
70' Crystal Palace need to throw everything at Everton and look for a way to go for the win. They are on the bottom of the ladder with four points behind second last.
68' It has been a more even second half in terms of possession. It may well be time for Crystal Palace to look at their bench to see who could add some pace to their line-up.
66' Loftus-Cheek is back in full health, as this time, he is the aggressor, conceding a free kick for a foul.
64' After a slight delay in play with Loftus-Cheek a bit slow to get up, we are back under way.
63' YELLOW CARD EVERTON - Tom Davies goes into the referee's book after a foul on Loftus-Cheek.
61' YELLOW CARD CRYSTAL PALACE - Mamadou Sakho with a professional foul on Calvert-Lewin just outside the box.
60' Crystal Palace bring in the corner, as it is Keane against Dann in the box, with Dann winning the header and putting it over the crossbar.
58' Cabaye with the corner kick for Crystal Palace. He floats it into the box as Dann is on the end of it with a header, but it is a poor finish, going wide of the goal. Perhaps Dann didn't expect the ball to reach him?
56' Kenny with two fouls in succession as he is spoken to by the referee, being advised that should he concede another foul, it will cost him a yellow card.
55' Townsend delivers the corner for Crystal Palace, but Keane intercepts the kick and clears it away to safety for Everton.
53' Niasse should consider himself lucky not to be off the ground with a second yellow card, after a clumsy challenge on Cabaye on the right wing.
52' Kenny concedes the corner kick to Crystal Palace as he finds himself at times of trouble inside the defensive half.
50' These two sides now confirm they have the worst defences in the league, with both sides conceding 24 goals each for the season.
48' Calvert-Lewin strikes with absolute power popping the ball up, forcing Speroni to change direction and push the ball away. A great shot on goal by Calvert-Lewin.
46' SUBSTITUTION EVERTON - Everton make it a double change, with Ademola Lookman also heading off for an early shower and he is replaced by Tom Davies.
SUBSTITUTION EVERTON - Everton make their first change for the match as Morgan Schneiderlin makes way for Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
SECOND HALF - Crystal Palace kick off to get us back under way for the second half.
We have had a very eventful first half, as not only is it raining at Selhurst Park, but it is also raining goals, with four combined goals in the first half. Should the game continue at this pace, we are in for an absolute cracker of a second half.
HALF TIME - We go into the half time break with the scores all tied up at 2-2. Crystal Palace have dominated play in the first half but they have little reward for their effort, with the scores level at the break. Crystal Palace opened up the scoring with a goal to McArthur in the first minute of play. Everton replied with a penalty goal to Baines in the sixth minute. We had a bit of an arm wrestle waiting until the 35th minute for Zaha to tap one past Pickford. Everton were able to level the scores in additional time, with a goal to Niasse.
45'+1 GOAL EVERTON - Speroni with an absolute howler, as he puts Dann under immense pressure with short pass, which is intercepted by Sigurðsson, who threads it through to Niasse. Speroni comes off his line but Niasse places into the bottom right corner for a goal. Scores are level at 2-2.
45' We have two minutes of stoppage time remaining in the first half.
44' YELLOW CARD EVERTON - Michael Keane goes into the referee's book after a clumsy tackle.
43' Perhaps Everton can look to their bench in an attempt to find a spark inside their attacking half. There is a man by the name of Wayne Rooney who is sitting on the bench. Surely he could provide some run for Everton.
41' Dann tries to do a little too much with the ball, as he concedes a corner to Everton, inside the defensive box. All he needed to do was to head it forward.
40' Crystal Palace are enjoying a good run with the ball inside their attacking half. They would love a third goal before half time.
38' Everton need to change the way they are going about the game, they need to put it all on the line and challenge Crystal Palace, in a bid to shake their newly found confidence.
36' YELLOW CARD EVERTON - El-Hadji Baye Oumar Niasse goes into the referee's book for dissent, much to the delight of the Crystal Palace home crowd.
35' GOAL CRYSTAL PALACE - Ward crosses it over to Zaha at the centre of the box as he stabs it past Pickford to give Crystal Palace a thoroughly deserved 2-1 lead over Everton.
34' McArthur with a strong shot on goal from the edge of the box and Pickford makes a diving save for Everton.
32' YELLOW CARD CRYSTAL PALACE - Luka Milivojević is the first man to go into the referee's book, after a rather crude challenge.
30' Jagielka with a through ball into the Everton attacking half, but Niasse is caught offside by the linesman.
29' Crystal Palace are getting into some good positions, inside their attacking half, but the delivery leaves a little to be desired.
27' Baines with a late challenge on Loftus-Cheek, as Crystal Palace win a free kick in a very dangerous position. Loftus-Cheek takes the kick looking to centre the ball but nobody is home.
26' Everton are starting to become a little clumsy in defence, giving away a couple of cheap free kicks in the last couple of minutes.
24' Crystal Palace have had 64.1% of the possession with 80.2% passing accuracy, with Everton having 35.9% possession and 64.2% passing accuracy.
22' Lennon wins a free kick inside the Everton defensive half, after a late challenge. Everton need to find a way out of defence, as Crystal Palace is starting to make residence inside Everton's defensive half.
21' The ball is played back into Pickford for Everton, who is able to get it away on the right and Everton are away, as they look for a way into their attacking half.
19' We have a very even game on our hands, with three shots on goal for each team.
17' Niasse with a low shot on goal, forcing Speroni to dive to his left and he pushes it away, with Schlupp clearing it away to safety for Crystal Palace.
15' Pickford comes out and makes an easy save after Towsend's long range shot on goal. Everton will be hoping to regroup and change the flow of play.
13' Everton's defence has been under attack for the last few minutes. They continue to make life difficult for the Crystal Palace attackers.
11' Zaha darts into the box with some real pace, but Kenny is on his hammer and he is happy to concede the corner kick to Crystal Palace.
10' Crystal Palace's midfielders are starting to make some basic errors in the middle, misjudging the flow of the ball. They need to address these errors straight away.
8' It has been a quickfire start to the match, in where we have already witnessed two goals in the opening six minutes of this encounter. If the game continues at this pace, we are in for an absolute treat today.
6' PENALTY GOAL EVERTON - Baines takes the spot kick, he runs in, keeps the kick low, with a left footed shot going in to the bottom left corner of the net, as Speroni dives to the opposite direction. The scores are level at 1-1.
5' PENALTY EVERTON - Dann brings down Niasse inside the box. The referee instantly points to the spot. Everton have themselves a penalty and a chance to redeem themselves.
3' A nightmare start for Everton, as Pickford now makes it 16 games in a row without a clean sheet.
1' GOAL CRYSTAL PALACE - Loftus-Cheek takes it into the box, he unleashes a shot on goal, forcing Pickford to make a diving save, parrying the ball into the path of McArthur, who kick it over Pickford, who is still on the ground, into the back of the net. Crystal Palace lead Everton 1-0 after a first minute goal.
FIRST HALF - Everton kick off and we are under way.
A miserable afternoon to greet us weather wise, with cold and rainy conditions. It will definitely make things a little slippery out there.
TEAMS - EVERTON (4-2-3-1) STARTING XI - Pickford (GK); Kenny, Keane, Jagielka (c), Baines; Scneiderlin, Gueye; Lennon, Sigurdsson, Lookman; Niasse. SUBSTITUTIONS - Robles (GK), Williams, Martina, Davies, Rooney, Calvert-Lewin, Ramirez.
TEAMS - CRYSTAL PALACE (4-4-2) STARTING XI - Speroni (GK); Ward, Dann (c), Sakho, Schlupp; Loftus-Cheek, Cabaye, Milivojevic, McArthur; Townsend, Zaha. SUBSTITUTIONS - Hennessey (GK), Fosu-Mensah, Tomkins, Souare, Sako, Puncheon, Benteke.
Everton have had a leaky defence this season, not being able to keep a clean sheet since the opening day of the season. With a goal difference currently sitting at -12, they need to improve on their current standing.
Crystal Palace have only won one of their five victories against Everton at Selhurst Park and should they be beaten again today, they will equal a record in the Premier League for the lowest points from twelve matches (four).
Welcome to Selhurst Park for the match between Crystal Palace and Everton. Both these teams have had very slow starts to the season, with Crystal Palace sitting on the bottom of the ladder with four points from eleven starts and Everton in fifteenth position, with eleven points from eleven starts.
