Commentary

Minute   Description
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Stefano Pioli would have been delighted with his side at the break, but now sees first hand the job he has rebuilding the Nerazzurri as they collapsed in the second half. The club will now focus on their domestic competitions, as the result this evening means they can no longer qualify for the next round of the Europa League.
What a comeback from Hapoel as they bounce back from two goals down at the interval to win the contest 3-2 to keep their hopes of qualifying alive. Goals from Lucio Maranhao, Anthony Nwakaeme and Ben Sahar brought the Israel side back, while Samir Handanovic was sent off for Inter, who have been dumped out of the competition.
FULL-TIME: HAPOEL 3-2 INTER
90'+3 Ghadir produces a moment of magic as he flicks Ogu's pass into the feet of Sahar who scores the winner.
THAT'S IT! The referee ends the contest.
GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPOEL WIN IT AT THE DEATH! Sahar keeps his cool from close range after latching on to Ghadir's sublime backheel before slotting the ball past Carrizo into the bottom corner. What a comeback from the home side.
90'+2 CHANCE! Brozovic makes a nuisance of himself in the final third and his cross is deflected into Icardi's path, but his effort is deflected wide of the post by Vitor.
90'+1 Miranda puts Carrizo under pressure at the back and the keeper can only clear into touch just inches away from the corner flag.
90' There will be three minutes of added time.
89' Carrizo does well enough from a corner as he beats Vitor to the ball to punch clear, leaving the defender with his head down on the ground in pain.
87' Nagatomo goes into the book for a loose challenge on Buzaglo.
WIDE! Radi strikes from the edge of the box and his effort curls late towards goal with Carrizo stranded. Fortunately for the keeper the ball drifts just past the post.
86' SAVES! Carrizo makes a series of stops to keep Inter in the game as he denies Ogu, Nwakaeme and Buzaglo from distance. None of the saves are convincing but he does enough to keep the ball out.
85' SHOT! Buzaglo goes for goal from the set-piece and although he fires his effort over the wall Carrizo is able to make the stop.
84' Sahar goes down 35 yards from goal and the home side have a free-kick. Buzaglo stands over the ball, waiting to take the set-piece.
82' CHANCE! Nwakaeme raids down the left flank and then sends the substitute Ghadir on his way into the inside channel. The midfielder has support, but goes for the strike himself and sees his effort well saved by Carrizo. Sahar was free at the back post had he seen him.
81' Hoban makes way for Ghadir late in the contest.
79' SAVE! Goresh has not had much to do in this half, but he makes a fine save to keep Candreva's powerful effort out. Inter are not done here and have enough quality on the pitch to still win this match.
78' SHOT! Ogu collects on the edge of the box and he faints one way before pulling the trigger on his left foot, forcing a good stop out of Carrizo.
76' CHANCE! Perisic gets the better of his man down the right flank and he cuts the ball back into the middle for Icardi. The Argentine has a yard of space on Vitor, but he skies his effort over the bar.
75' Lucio comes off for the final 15 minutes to be replaced by Sahar.
Just a reminder that Inter need to win this game to remain in the competition. With 10 men they will have to press forward and not care too much about being hit on the break.
74' DISALLOWED GOAL! Buzaglo bundles the ball into the net from close range, but the referee had blown his whistle for a foul against Murillo. It was a soft call as Vitor barely touched the Inter defender.
73' Radi hits a sublime cross to the near post that evades everyone in the box and goes out for a throw-in. All that needed as a touch from a red shirt and Hapoel would have taken the lead.
71' GOAL!!! Nwakaeme levels the scores as he fires his penalty into the net, despite Carrizo getting a touch on the ball. The home side will now back themselves to go on and win this match against 10 men.
70' Substitute keeper Carrizo comes on to the field as Banega is sacrificed. His first action is to face the penalty from Nwakaeme.
68' Handanovic gets his second yellow card of the contest, following his first for time-wasting, and is dismissed from the action.
PENALTY TO HAPOEL! Buzaglo is played in over the top and Handanovic brings him down, leaving the referee with no choice but to award the spot-kick.
67' WIDE! Nwakaeme does well down the left and sends a low ball across the face of goal for Buzaglo's run. The midfielder gets a touch on the ball to send it on its way, only to see his effort drift inches past the post. Inter are holding on for dear life here.
64' Petulance for Nwakaeme as he slams the ball into the turf after not being awarded a throw-in on the left flank. The referee got the decision spot on so there was no need for the reaction from the forward.
Lucio wins his team a free-kick inside the Inter half as he uses his size advantage on Nagatomo to box the defender out, forcing the Japanese to foul him.
63' Another change for Inter as Melo makes way for Gnoukouri.
61' CHANCE! Radi causes havoc in the final third again, but this time his cross is cleared to the edge of the box. Ogu pounces on the loose ball and hits a first-time volley on his left foot, sending his effort inches over the crossbar. Hapoel are right in this game now.
60' Perisic replaces Eder for the visitors.
59' Radi strikes the ball from distance and he wins a corner for his side as the ball strikes Murillo and goes behind.
58' Radi hits a pinpoint cross into the box, allowing Lucio to convert from close range to bring the home side back into the match.
GOAL!! Lucio scores from close range as he directs his header past Handanovic to bring Hapoel back into the contest. The goal was all about the cross from Radi as he curled his effort into a dangerous area, ensuring that the striker could not miss with his header.
56' Nagatomo has to do well at the back post to clear the danger from Korhut's low cross. The defender scored an own goal from a similar ball against Southampton, but on this occasion he clears with authority.
55' Bitton goes into the book for shouting at the official behind the goal.
Bitton reacts with fury to the official behind the goal as he believes that Hapoel were robbed of a corner in his tussle with Nagatomo on the flank.
54' Buzaglo is furious with the referee as he comes out of his 50/50 with Miranda worse off than the Inter defender, demanding a free-kick but the official waves away his appeals.
52' OFF THE BAR! Icardi comes within inches of killing the game off as he collects Brozovic's low pass and turns Tzedek with ease before firing at goal, only to see his effort clatter off the crossbar and bounce clear.
51' Inter break with speed and almost catch the home side out at the back, but Bitton makes a great last-ditch intervention to prevent Eder from finding Icardi.
49' Hapoel have made a much stronger start to the half than the first, but still need to develop a clinical edge in front of goal to get back into the game.
47' Hoban hits a long ball over the top of the Inter defence from a free-kick, which almost sees Nwakaeme break in behind. However, Handanovic comes off his line and knocks the ball over the forward before gathering at the second attempt.
46' We're back underway in this Europa League clash.
The players are back out for the second half, so we should be underway shortly.
Stefano Pioli will be pleased with what he has seen so far from his team this evening, while his opposite number Bachar Barak will be concerned over his side's struggles.
Inter take a 2-0 lead into the break thanks to strikes from Mauro Icardi and Marcelo Brozovic. The Italian outfit have been in complete control of the contest, with Hapoel struggling immensely for rhythm in the final third.
HALF-TIME: HAPOEL 0-2 INTER
45'+1 The referee brings an end to the first half.
45' There will be one minute of added time.
Handanovic takes his time over a goal-kick, and the referee gets his yellow card out to caution the keeper.
43' Lucio goes into the book for a late lunge on Miranda. Frustration might just be getting to the home side now.
40' Inter are pressing higher up the pitch than earlier in the contest, ensuring that the home side are having difficulty breaking out of their own half.
38' Candreva makes a surge down the right and lifts his cross deep to the back post. Icardi does well to keep the ball in play, lofting his header back across goal, but Goresh gathers ahead of the two white shirts inside the box.
37' Icardi tries to return the favour to Eder for his assist in the opener, but the Argentine's lofted pass has too much pace on it for his team-mate to latch on to inside the box, allowing Goresh to gather.
36' Tactical substitution for the home side as Radi replaces Taha, which means that they will change to a 4-3-3 system.
34' Icardi is tripped just outside the penalty area by Tzedek and Banega will have another opportunity to threaten with a cross from the flank.
33' Bitton makes a good run down the right flank and he beats the first challenge on Nagatomo, but Melo cuts out his cross with a slide before Nagatomo recovers to clear the danger.
31' Hapoel are really struggling for quality in the final third. That has been the difference between the two sides thus far, with the Italian outfit producing two moments of pure class in their goals in and around the box.
29' Nwakaeme does well down the left flank for the home side as he beats the challenge of D'Ambrosio and arcs a cross to the back post. However, Bitton cannot keep the ball in at the back post, despite being under little pressure from Nagatomo.
27' Hapoel win a free-kick on the left and Buzaglo lifts the ball into the box, and although Vitor makes contact he can only guide his effort harmlessly over the bar. He was penalised for a foul on Murillo anyway so even if he had scored it would not have counted.
25' Eder notches his second assist of the game as he picks out his team-mate on the edge of the box.
GOAL!!!! Inter double their lead as Brozovic finds the back of the net with a low strike from the edge of the box. The goal came out of nothing as there appeared to be little danger until the midfielder cut back inside and caught his shot well enough to beat Goresh.
24' PENALTY SHOUT! A mistake at the back allows Buzaglo to pounce and he surges into the box. He goes down under contact from Nagatomo, but the referee dismisses his claims for a penalty. The correct decision from the official.
23' D'Ambrosio beats his man down the right flank and attempts to send the ball into the box for Icardi, but Ogu gets back across and intervenes to send the ball out for a throw-in.
21' Nwakaeme has struggled with his passing in the final third thus far this evening. Despite doing well to hold off Miranda, his eventual ball to Buzaglo is straight to a white shirt rather than his team-mate, who was offside anyway.
19' Korhut goes into the book for his bodycheck on Candreva, although the Italian went down holding his face appearing to try and get more out of the situation. There was no contact with his face, which the referee correctly spotted.
Banega's first cross is cleared with ease by the Hapoel defence, while his second effort strikes the legs of Buzaglo and the home side are able to bring the ball away.
18' Inter win another free-kick in a dangerous position as Candreva is bodychecked by Korhut. Banega has the opportunity to send a cross into the box from the right flank.
16' CHANCE! Hapoel get around the first wave of Inter pressure and Hoban breaks towards the box with support. He opts to ignore his team-mates and goes for goal, only to strike his effort well over the crossbar.
15' Inter seem quite content to sit off the home side in possession until they start to push towards the half-way line then the pressure starts to come.
13' UPDATE! News from elsewhere in Group K and Sparta Prague have taken a 1-0 lead against Southampton, which is a huge boost for Inter.
12' Eder picks out the run of his team-mate with a sublime cross, allowing Icardi to find the net.
GOAL!!!! Inter take the lead as Icardi makes a great run across the Hapoel backline and finishes well at the near post, guiding Eder's cross past Goresh into the bottom corner. A fine team move from the visitors.
11' BLOCK! Miranda puts his body on the line to make a good block to stop Nwakaeme's strike from the edge of the box after the forward was teed up by Ogu.
10' Buzaglo does extremely well to make a run across the Inter backline to collect a long ball over the top from Korhut. He gets crowded out by two defenders, but manages to find Nwakaeme, but the forward loses possession too easily in the final third.
9' Inter string a series of passes together down the left and Nagatomo sends a low ball to the near post for Icardi, but the Argentine takes a poor first touch and the ball trickles out for a goal-kick.
7' Nwakaeme wastes a good opening for Hapoel as a mistake from Miranda allows him to control on the edge of the box. However, his attempted through ball for Lucio is cut out by Murillo and Inter are able to clear the danger.
6' WIDE! Banega swings the ball in from the left and his cross misses everyone in the box and just drifts wide of the post. All that needed was a touch and the visitors would have been ahead.
5' Banega's free-kick lacks the height to trouble the Hapoel backline and Ogu heads the ball out for a throw-in on the right.
Taha brings down Eder on the left flank and the visitors have a free-kick in a dangerous position to attack from. Inter are piling men into the box.
4' OFF THE BAR! Buzaglo collects a throughball on the right flank and he attempts to put a low ball across the face of goal. His effort deflects off Nagatomo's leg and loops up towards the net, and the ball crashes off the bar and bounces clear.
2' The home side are seeing a lot of the ball in the early stages, but have not been able to make an penetration into the Inter half.
1' We're underway in this Europa League clash.
The players are making their way out on to the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
Inter have made five changes from the Milan derby in all three levels of the team. Yuto Nagatomo and Jeison Murillo come into the back four, while Ever Banega and Felipe Melo play in the middle of the park. Eder Martins replaces Ivan Perisic as part of the front three.
Hapoel have made two changes from their 2-0 loss to Sparta Prague last time out in the Europa League. Anthony Nwakaeme and John Ogu come into the line-up to replace Mahran Radi and Maor Melikson this evening.
Inter subs: Gnoukouri, Pinamonti, Ranocchia, Biabiany, Carrizo, Perisic, Ansaldi.
INTER (4-3-3): Handanovic; D'Ambrosio, Miranda, Murillo, Nagatomo; Melo, Banega, Brozovic; Candreva, Icardi, Eder.
Hapoel subs: Shabtai, Ohayon, Ghadir, Radi, Sahar, Turgeman, Haimov.
HAPOEL (5-4-1): Goresh; Bitton; Tahar, Vitor, Tzedek, Korhut; Buzaglo, Hoban, Ogu, Nwakaeme; Lucio Maranhao.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Hapoel recorded a 2-0 victory over Inter at the San Siro in the first match of the group stage and will be determined to notch a similar result this evening. The Israeli outfit also need a win themselves to keep their hopes of reaching the next phase of the tournament alive.
Stefano Pioli got off to a decent start in his first match in charge of Nerazzurri thanks to a last-minute equaliser from Ivan Perisic in the Milan derby. Inter rallied twice from behind to claim a point against their rivals and will need of all their resilience to keep themselves in the competition.
Inter have to win this evening to keep their slim hopes of qualifying for the next round of the competition alive, having taken just three points from their opening four fixtures.
Good evening and welcome to the Europa League Group K clash between Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Inter Milan.
