Minute   Description
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
Manchester City end their run of back-to-back defeats in the Premier League with a solid 2-0 win over Watford this evening. They were far from their best, but strikes from Pablo Zabaleta and David Silva were enough to secure the three points and get them back on track in the title race.
90'+4 The referee ends the contest.
SAVE! City keep playing and space opens up for Silva inside the box, but Gomes does brilliantly to keep his low strike out of the net with a one-handed save.
Sane takes the ball into the corner and wins a set-piece. That should see out the remaining seconds at the Etihad Stadium.
90'+3 Holebas hits the deck and clutches his toe. Not a good sign for the Hornets as he appears to be in pain.
90'+2 City are in time-killing mode at the moment with Sane and Sterling taking the ball into the corner to burn seconds off the clock.
90' There will be four minutes of added time.
Clichy sends the ball behind for a corner, but Holebas' delivery from the right is poor and City are able to clear the danger with ease.
89' De Bruyne makes way in the contest to be replaced by Sane.
86' Sterling opens Watford up on a break before he lays a pass into the feet of Silva to finish the game.
GOAL!!!!! SILVA SECURES THE WIN! City surely are over the line now as Silva and Sterling combine in the final third, with the Spaniard collecting a short pass from his team-mate inside the box before hammering his strike into the top corner. Game over!
84' Guardiola is out of his technical area, barking instructions to his players. His team have been far from perfect tonight, but it would be a huge three points to secure given their recent woes.
83' Watford have barely threatened City in the final third all evening, but the Ighalo chance just shows how fragile 1-0 leads are. Fortunately for City the Nigerian failed to convert.
81' Nolito makes way for Navas.
CHANCE! Ighalo misses a glorious opening to bring Watford level as he latches on to Amrabat's pinpoint cross from the right. He gets a step on Kolarov at the near post, but can only slam his effort over the bar. A huge moment in this match.
80' Watford clear and win a free-kick of their own down the left flank. Holebas delivers the ball into the box and Deeney causes problems, but Otamendi and Kolarov combine to clear the danger.
79' Sterling causes problems down the flank and Holebas is forced to bring him down near the corner flag for another free-kick to the home side. De Bruyne will swing this cross in again.
78' Another worry for Guardiola as De Bruyne goes down after colliding with Guedioura. However, he appears to be ok to continue after treatment.
76' CHANCES! Holebas sends a dangerous cross into the box, but Britos mistimes his jump and sends his header up and into the air. Capoue seizes on the loose ball at the back post and hammers an effort on the half-volley, only to be denied by a fine save by Bravo.
75' Zabaleta goes into the box for his challenge on Success.
74' Success runs at Zabaleta with pace and forces the Argentine to bring him down on the edge of the box. The Hornets have to at least test Bravo rfrom this set-piece.
73' Capoue goes into the book for scything down De Bruyne on a break.
72' Sinclair makes way for Deeney in a last roll of the dice by Mazzarri.
69' Silva drills the ball with his left foot towards the near post, but Prodl does well to clear with his head. City's deliveries into the box have been inconsistent this evening.
68' Sterling turns on the jets down the right flank and Holebas is powerless to stop the England man farirly, putting in a loose challenge to bring him down on the edge of the box.
67' City work a series of passes in and around the Watford box in the final third until their attack is brought to an end as Nolito fails to pick out Sterling on the right flank with his lofted pass.
66' Ighalo chases a long ball over the top and puts Otamendi under pressure. However, Clichy comes across to win possession and hoofs the ball away from danger.
64' OVER! Guedioura goes for the blast from 35 yards, but he gets too much power on his strike, sending it well over the bar.
Zuniga is brought down 35 yards from goal and Guedioura is one of two players that are lining up the effort from distance.
62' City are in control of the contest, but need a second goal just to kill off the visitiors. The Hornets have provided no threat, but the longer the match remains at only 1-0 the more confident Mazzarri's men will become.
60' Janmaat makes way for Success as Mazzarri alters his tactical approach.
57' OFF THE BAR! Sterling makes a burst through the middle of the Watford backline before powering an effort on his left foot from the edge of the box, only to see his strike clip off the bar and bounce over.
56' The Belgian attempts to pick out Nolito on the edge of the box with a low pass, but he misses his kick under pressure from Guedioura.
55' Sterling displays strength and desire to win a free-kick on the right flank in his battle with Holebas. De Bruyne will take the set-piece.
53' City are in complete control of this match as they are pressing the Hornets in possession, while they've failed to test Bravo's handling ability at all this evening.
51' Watford are attempting to slow the pace of the game down once again to stop City's passing rhythm. However, they still need to be a lot more active in the final third than they were in the first period.
49' SAVE! City take the resulting corner quickly and De Bruyne hammers a low effort across the face of goal, but Gomes just gets a hand on it and fortunately for Watford the loose ball falls to a yellow shirt as Zuniga clears the danger.
48' Zabaleta wins the ball in the middle of the park and drives forward to the edge of the box. The Argentine takes a heavy touch, but De Bruyne takes over, only to see his effort deflected wide of the post.
46' Janmaat clashes with Clichy in the air and gets a cut on his nose. He requires treatment on the touchline as play continues.
We're back underway at the Etihad Stadium.
The players have emerged for the second half, so we should be underway shortly.
Watford will have been furious to have conceded they way they did as they appeared to have the home in check. However, Walter Mazzarri might have to become more adventurous with his tactics to earn a positive result in the second period.
City have been far from their best in the first half, but still lead through Pablo Zabaleta's strike in the 33rd minute. The home side have struggled for fluency in the third third, resuiting a in a lot of possession, but few clear-cut opportunities.
45'+4 The referee ends the first half.
45'+3 Sterling has space to raid into and support down the right from De Bruyne, but he overhits his pass to the Belgian and allows Britos to shield the ball out of play.
45'+1 Watford threaten down the right and Janmaat sends a dangerous cross into the near post, and only an excellent covering tackle from Fernando prevents Ighalo latching on to the Dutchman's cross.
45' There will be four minutes of added time.
44' Gundogan is replaced in the City midfield by Fernando.
43' Another stoppage in play as Gundogan will be forced off here following his earlier collision with Amrabat.
42' OVER! CIty work the ball with pace in and around the box. Toure collects and makes a swift turn before firing at goal, only to smash his effort narrowly over the bar.
40' Toure attempts to burst past Britos in right inside channel, but the defender holds up to the challenge and clears the danger under pressure from the Ivorian.
38' OFFSIDE! Nolito sends a low pass into De Bruyne's feet in the box and he turns to curl an effort towards the bottom corner. The strike goes past the post, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway as the Belgian was offside anyway.
37' De Bruyne sends an inch-perfect pass from distance into Sterling on the right flank and the winger runs at Holebas before sending his cross into the box. However, his effort is claimed with ease by Gomes at his near post.
35' Gundogan hits the floor in agony now as he gets caught from behind by Amrabat. It does not look that good for the German.
33' De Bruyne sends a delightful cross to the back post for De Bruyne to convert.
GOAL!!!!! CITY TAKE THE LEAD! Zabaleta hands the home side the lead as he coasts in unmarked at the back post to steer De Bruyne's cross past Gomes with a neat finish. Questions have to be asked about the marking from the visitors, with the substitute Zuniga at fault.
30' Pereyra makes way for Zuniga due to his knee injury.
A lot of boos echo around the Etihad Stadium as Pereyra and his team-mates urge City to put the ball out so he can be replaced even though the home side are on the attack. Eventually Zabaleta relents and the Hornets can make the change.
29' City break with pace down the flank and Sterling hits a low ball across the box, only for the visitors to clear the danger at the near post.
28' Pererya is back on the pitch, but is moving very gingerly. It would be very surprising to see him continue here.
26' Pererya hits the deck in agony as he attempts to press Zabaleta on the flank. The Hornets' record signing requires treatment before we can continue here.
25' Watford have taken the pace right out of the game that will suit them just fine. City are the ones that have to make things happen tonight, allowing the visitors just to sit in their shape.
23' WIDE! From the resulting corner, Gundogan collects on the edge of the box, but his effort on the volley travels well wide of the post.
22' SAVE! Nolito latches on to De Bruyne's throughball in the left inside channel and the Spaniard attempts to poke his effort through Gomes' legs. However, the keeper reacts just in time to send the ball behind for a corner.
21' Prodl clips Silva's ankles and goes into the book.
19' The home side pass the ball well into the final third, but as soon as Clichy attempts to pick out a team-mate in the middle his cross goes astray and allows Guedioura to make the interception.
17' City work the ball well in the final third, but as Sterling tries to play his way through the Hornets' defence he loses possession, disrupting the rhythm of the attack.
15' Holebas is alert at the back post to steer Silva's cross into the hands of Gomes. There were no City players around in the six-yard box though to put the Watford defence under pressure.
13' Watford earn the chance to put the home side under presure from a corner, but Amrabat's delivery fails to beat Sterling at the near post. A poor cross from the winger.
11' CHANCE! Kolarov floats a cross into the box from the left flank and Noltio pulls off the back of his man, but can only head his effort tamely over the bar.
10' City back off the Watford defensive players as they advance with the ball. Prodl sees this as an invitation to shoot, but he can only send his effort straight down Bravo's throat.
9' CHANCE! From the resulting corner the ball is cleared only as far as Nolito on the edge of the box. He smashes a strike on the half-volley towards the bottom corner, but Gomes makes the stop, while Janmaat scoops up the rebound.
8' SAVE! De Bruyne leaves Gundogan's pass and allows Sterling to collect on the right. The England man cuts the ball back to the Belgian, who strikes at goal, only to be denied by Gomes.
7' Sterling weaves his way into the Watford box and attempts to beat Britos, but the defender holds up well to the challenge and removes it from danger.
5' The Hornets continue their bring start to the match by knocking the ball around well in the final third, but the City defence hold their shape to clear the danger.
3' WIDE! Amrabat raids down the flank again, but Otamendi clears his cross, although only as far as Capoue on the edge of the box. The Frenchman controls the ball and shoots on his left foot, only to slice his strike well wide of the post.
2' Kolarov is forced to get a foot in at the back to stop Amrabat's cross coming into the box from the right, and City are able to bring the ball clear.
1' We're underway at the Etihad Stadium.
The players are making their way out on to the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
There's no place in the team for two-goal hero Stefano Okaka from their win over the Toffees, while Troy Deeney also drops to the bench. Valon Behrami misses out due to illness, but Younes Kaboul is fit enough to return to the bench.
Watford have made four changes to their side that defeated Everton last time out. Daryl Janmaat, Jerome Sinclair, Odion Ighalo and Roberto Pereyra return to the line-up, with the club's record signing coming back from his suspension to start in midfield.
Sergio Aguero and Fernandinho are still suspended, with Nolito and Toure filling their respective roles tonight, leading the line and playing in the heart of the midfield.
City have made five changes from their defeat to Leicester at the weekend. Jon Stones, Kelechi Iheanacho, Bacary Sagna, Jesus Navas and Bacary Sagna have all been dropped, with Gael Clichy, Nicolas Otamendi, Raheem Sterling, Yaya Toure and Nolito replacing them in the line-up.
Watford subs: Kaboul, Deeney, Success, Zuniga, Watson, Kabasele, Pantilimon.
WATFORD (5-3-2): Gomes; Amrabat, Janmaat, Prodl, Britos, Holebas; Capoue, Guedioura, Pereyra; Sinclair, Ighalo.
Man City subs: Sagna, Fernando, Caballero, Navas, Sane, Stones, Iheanacho.
MANCHESTER CITY (4-3-3): Bravo; Zabaleta, Otamendi, Kolarov, Clichy; Toure, Silva, Gundogan; Sterling, Nolito, De Bruyne.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Watford have been inconsistent of late in the Premier League with good performances like their 3-2 win over Everton mixed in with poor ones such as their defeats to Stoke City and West Brom. Despite that Walter Mazzarri's men are ninth in the table, but could move up with three points this evening.
Pep Guardiola is under the first spell of pressure in his reign at City, suffering back-to-back defeats in their last two matches to Chelsea and Leicester City. As a result, the Citizens are in need of a bounce back performance this evenint against the Hornets.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Manchester City and Watford at the Etihad Stadium.
