Minute   Description
Once again thanks for joining us this evening, we hope you enjoyed our coverage. Goodbye!
At the end of the first-half Boro looked in a good position but they just could not keep up with their opponents. They failed to create any real chances in the second 45 minutes and Liverpool's half-time team-talk seemed to work wonders. Karanka will need to go back to the drawing board as Boro move closer to the bottom three.
The Reds return to winning ways in fine style thanks to a brace from Adam Lallana and a simple finish from Divock Origi. Lallana grabs the headlines for his display after also teeing up Origi but Klopp's men were brilliant in the final third and that was the difference tonight.
FULL TIME - Middlesbrough 0-3 Liverpool.
90'+1 Divock Origi goes down injured but Klopp takes no risks and he gives Trent Arnold his Premier League debut.
90' Three minutes added on at the Riverside Stadium.
87' Georginio Wijnaldum is given a round of applause after his hard-working performance, with Oviemuno Ejaria coming on in his place.
Liverpool win a free-kick on the edge of the area after Milner finds Firmino but the Brazilian is chopped down from behind. Firmino sees his free-kick blocked and Jordan Henderson nearly benefits but his shot is also cleared away by the Boro defence.
82' Adam Lallana does not get the chance for his hat-trick then and he is replaced by Lucas Leiva.
Forshaw shows his frustration by letting fly from distance and that gets a sarcastic cheer from the home crowd.
79' Liverpool's third goal has killed the pace in this game and of course the Reds will not care one bit. A ruthless performance from them sees them keep pace at the top of the table.
77' Álvaro Negredo is given an early bath and he is replaced by former Blackburn Rovers star Jordan Rhodes.
Little bit of showboating from Firmino inside the box sees him go past Chambers who slips but Fabio is there in the end to clear the danger.
73' With Karanka's men now looking doomed they need to play for pride in the final few minutes. Taking their foot off the gas could see Liverpool add two or three more goals and that will really affect the confidence going into the weekend's games.
69' Ben Gibson brings down Mane during the third goal and is given a yellow card for his late challenge.
68' Majestic football again and it's 0-3. Mane shows tremendous pace to get at the Boro defence and he is brought down, but the ball is picked up by Origi. He delays any cross and just trickles it across the penalty spot and Lallana is on hand to grab his second of the night.
Another fine move sees Origi pull into space on the right and he plays Lallana in with a low cross.
65' Few signs of frustration now around the Riverside Stadium. Stewart Downing is trying his best to create chances since coming on but his latest cross is over the head of everyone and out for a throw-in.
60' Lallana now adds an assist to his goal so far this evening and his defence splitting pass allows Origi to tap home.
Simply brilliant from Liverpool. Divock Origi is the man that taps in but a whole host of players played their part in that one. Mane shows a turn of foot in the middle and Wijnaldum flicks it forward for Lallana. The midfielder takes one look before teeing up Origi who places the ball into the bottom corner.
58' Two changes from Karanka before the hour mark show he certainly means business tonight. He's been criticised in the past for not going for it at times, at least the home crowd can't say that this evening.
56' Like for like change by Karanka as Adam Clayton comes off for Grant Leadbitter.
Viktor Fischer has worked hard on the left-wing and is now replaced by Stewart Downing.
55' Liverpool's turn to claim for a penalty this time as Mane blasts the ball towards the top corner. Defender Calum Chambers is the man that gets in the way but the ref claims the former Arsenal man was too close to the ball to react.
54' Valdes shows his turn of pace off his line as Origi is played in down the left but the former Barcelona keeper comes to his side's rescue.
52' Boro really need to pick their game up at the minute. Liverpool pen them in again and Origi is the man who finds space before turning to shoot. At the last minute he decides against it and tries to flick it towards Firmino but the ball trickles out for a goal-kick.
49' Yet another chance for Liverpool as Origi pulls wide down the left. He looks up and pings the ball into Firmino but the forward is off balance and can only head wide of the target.
48' Mane again goes close this time inside the box. Firmino is generous and squares the ball to his team-mate but Mane never sets himself and sees both his shots blocked.
47' Another superb run from Mane sees him reach the edge of the box but his shot is saved well at the near post by Victor Valdes.
46' Liverpool get us back underway for the second-half.
Both Forshaw and Clayton have shown their tremendous fitness levels so far but a few more risks need to be taken going forward by Boro. As for Liverpool, Firmino has been quiet but they once again look incredibly dangerous on the break and Boro will need to keep players back to counter that threat.
If Boro are to get anything from this match then Traore is key to their plans. James Milner is not the quickest and they need to get the winger charging down the right. Negredo has also barely had a touch and as their main striker this clearly needs to improve.
Despite trailing, Boro have shown some signs of promise and forced a couple of saves out of Mignolet in the Liverpool goal. The pace has been high and that has suited Klopp's men on the break. That extra bit of class in front of goal is the difference so far but both teams will be relatively pleased with their performances so far.
HALF-TIME - Middlesbrough 0-1 Liverpool. Lallana's header separates these two teams at the break in what has been an entertaining first-half of football.
43' Inches away from 2-0 here. Mane is played in through the middle and he bursts into the box before aiming for the far post. The ball cannons off the post and Origi is unable to convert the rebound. Boro have been impressive in bursts but they were nearly undone there.
39' What a run from Traore!!! The winger bursts down the right and eventually cuts it back, Fischer cannot get to the cross but Forshaw can and his effort is blocked for a corner. Mignolet steps up thiugh and clear the danger.
38' Sighs from the Boro crowd as Marten De Roon tries to pick out Alvaro Negredo. The former Manchester City man is in plenty of space but he takes his eye off the ball and Liverpool recover the ball.
34' Penalty claims from Boro...nothing given. Another free-kick from the right is cleared into the middle of midfield and Adam Clayton comes in like a steam train before smashing it goalwards. The ball hits Dejan Lovren and the home crowd scream for a spot-kick, referee Jonathan Moss gives nothing and we move on.
29' Nathaniel Clyne picks up a superb assist as his right-footed cross finds Lallana at the far post.
ADAM LALLANA makes it Boro 0-1 Liverpool. The England international continues his run scoring run with a bullet header at the far post. Mane works it out to Nathaniel Clyne and his inch-perfect cross is met by Lallana at the far post.
27' Liverpool capitalise on a slip from Traore and the Reds fail to pull the trigger in time. Divock Origi finds Sadio Mane who turns the ball to Firmino, it comes back to the former Southampton star but Boro blast the ball against his legs and a goal-kick is given.
23' CHANCE BORO - the home side win a free-kick after a foul on Traore. The ball is whipped in from the right and centre-half Ben Gibson climbs highest but Mignolet is on hand to dive on the loose ball.
21' Determined run from Fischer sees him charge into the box but he never gets the ball under control and centre-back Ragnar Klavan is on hand to cover and clears the danger.
18' Nearly halfway through the first-half and finally we've had our first two shots. Boro's Adam Forshaw sees his drive blocked but it falls to left-back Fabio who drills it towards goal but Reds goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is calm under pressure and collects it with ease.
15' Liverpool work the ball towards Roberto Firmino for the first time but the Brazilian is unable to find a team-mate with his cross. Instead, his attempted pass is blocked away by Boro's Adam Clayton and the home side continue to defend well as a unit.
11' The two teams just cancelling each other out at the minute and the game may need to setlle down before we see either goalkeeper tested. At the moment the pace is electric but as a result the quality of football on show is suffering.
7' The home crowd are really fired up for today's clash and Karanka's men are responding well to the home support. It's early days but the passing has been crisp but Liverpool defending well.
5' Liverpool respond immediately and win a corner of their own as Georginio Wijnaldum tries to find striker Divock Origi but his cross is cleared. Unfortunately for the Reds nothing comes of it but there's a good tempo so far in this game at the Riverside Stadium.
2' Strong start for Boro as winger Adama Traore wins an early corner. However, Viktor Fischer ruins all of Traore's hard work by failing to beat the first man.
1' Middlesbrough in their home kit tonight get this Premier League clash underway, Liverpool in an all-yellow strip will shoot left-to-right in this first-half.
The two teams are now in the tunnel and we are nearly ready for kick-off.
Reds boss Klopp was quick to stand by Loris Karius at the weekend but he's still been dropped, while Joel Matip is also missing from the starting eleven. They are replaced by Simon Mignolet and Ragnar Klavan.
Following that defeat to Southampton, coach Aitor Karanka has decided to make two changes to his Boro first-team. In come Adama Traore and Alvaro Negredo and they replace Cristhian Stuani and Jordan Rhodes.

TEAM NEWS coming up...
As for Liverpool, they sit pretty in third but their form of late has dropped off and they were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham in their last match. Jurgen Klopp's side have won two of their last five matches in all competitions and they will be determined to cut the gap on league-leaders Chelsea.
Middlesbrough come into this clash on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Southampton last weekend and that result left the 16th in the Premier League. With a busy night of action, they will be nervously looking over their shoulder hoping to avoid the bottom three.
