Smith poised for 400-game milestone – Opta facts behind Storm great´s NRL career

Only 16 games stand between Cameron Smith and the Melbourne Storm captain celebrating 400 NRL appearances.

Smith has played 384 games in the competition but the Storm great is poised to be the first player to reach the 400-game milestone after signing a two-year contract.

The 35-year-old has won two premierships and two Dally M Medals since making his debut in 2002.

With the help of Opta, we look at the stats behind Smith's illustrious NRL career.

272 – The iconic Australian and Queenslander has won 272 NRL games with the Storm, which includes two premierships.

71 – Smith's win rate in the NRL stands at 71 per cent, following 110 losses and two draws in his 384 appearances.

43 – Smith has crossed for 43 tries with the Storm.

20-plus – Smith has played 20-plus NRL games in every season since 2003, scoring at least one try in every campaign in that span as well.                          

1,105 – One of the best kickers in the NRL, Smith has amassed 1,105 NRL goals.

2,386 – Smith is just 33 points shy of eclipsing Hazem El Masri (2,418) as the most prolific point-scorer in premiership history.
