8 February 2013 18:46

Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen was fastest at the fourth and final day of Formula One's first pre-season test in Jerez, Spain.

The Finn recorded a fastest time of one minute 18.148 seconds during his 82 laps in a session that was extended by 30 minutes after debris damaged one of the course's kerbs.

In a surprise, Force India's test driver Jules Bianchi clocked the second-fastest time of 1:18:175 as he bids to win a promotion to a race seat.

World champion Sebastian Vettel (1:18.565) matched his result on the third day, notching the third fastest time, while Esteban Gutierrez (1:18.669) took his Sauber round in the fourth-quickest time.

Britain's Lewis Hamilton (1:18.905) endured a better second test with his new Mercedes team, after crashing out on day two of testing, finishing sixth and completing 145 laps - the most of any driver for the session.

According to the unofficial total of laps completed across the four days of testing, Sauber (430) led the way with Red Bull (372) and Force India (357) rounding out the top three.
