Bills RB McCoy remains in concussion protocol

23 October 2018 00:47

LeSean McCoy remains in the concussion protocol, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed.

Veteran running back McCoy, 30, left Sunday's 37-5 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in the first quarter with a head injury and did not return after taking a hard hit.

Discussing six-time NFL Pro Bowler McCoy on Monday, McDermott told reporters: "He's in the protocol, and that's all I can say right now.

The Bills replaced McCoy with Chris Ivory, who started a game earlier this season when the former was injured.

McCoy has just 244 yards and one touchdown this season.

McDermott also noted that starting quarterback Josh Allen (elbow) will not play next against the New England Patriots on October 29. Derek Anderson will once again get the start in relief.
