Henriques in ICC conduct breach

27 February 2013 16:55

Australia all-rounder Moises Henriques has been fined for breaching the ICC's clothing and equipment regulations during his Test debut.

Henriques, who hit two half-centuries on debut in an eight-wicket loss to India earlier this week, broke the ICC's code of conduct by wearing a manufacturer's logo on the chin strap of his helmet during the fourth day's play of the first Test in Chennai.

The 26-year-old has accepted the level 1 charge and has been fined 10 percent of his match fee.

Henriques belied his inexperience with scores of 68 and 81 not out in the first Test, his impressive debut one of few positives for Australia to take out of the comprehensive defeat.

The second Test starts in Hyderabad on Saturday.
