Broad, Finn ruled out of T20s

13 December 2012 12:24

English paceman Stuart Broad will not feature in his country's two-match Twenty20 series against India due to a heel injury.

Broad, England's Twenty20 skipper, was already ruled out of the fourth and final Test in Nagpur which began on Thursday due to the injury after sitting out the third Test in Kolkata.

Although the first of the T20Is do not take place for another week, England have decided against risking Broad and he will return home to begin his rehabilitation.

The uncapped James Harris will replace Broad in the squad and is now in line to make his international debut.

Steven Finn will also head back to England to receive treatment on a strained disc in his back but is a good chance of returning to India for the five-match one-day series which begins on January 11.
