Guangdong make it six straight

Guangdong Tigers posted a sixth consecutive win in the CBA on Wednesday with a 104-103 victory over Fujian.

Guangdong were 16 points behind deep into the match but pulled the margin back before securing the narrowest of victories.

Former NBA players Jianlian Yi and Terrence Williams inspired the comeback for the Tigers, contributing 27 and 22 points respectively.

Fujian had a chance to claim victory with the final play of the match, but Sundiata Gaines came up well short with his last-gasp shot.

The result sees the Tigers share joint top place in the standings with a 6-1 record, their only defeat coming on the opening day of the season.

Fujian have a 4-4 record this campaign following back-to-back defeats.
