29 January 2013 08:45

Preparations have ramped up for the 47th edition of the Superbowl at The Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The San Francisco 49ers take on the Baltimore Ravens on February 3rd, with two brothers facing off as head coaches.

Jim Harbaugh's 49ers and John Harbaugh's Ravens will take to the field in the Super Bowl, the tenth to be contested in the city of New Orleans.

Baltimore have ridden their luck with a double-overtime victory in their divisional playoff against AFC regular season leaders Denver Broncos, while San Francisco only just overcame Atlanta in the NFC championship game.

The game will also mark a final appearance for Baltimore legend Ray Lewis, who announced he will retire after 17 years at the franchise.

The area is bracing itself for a carnival atmosphere as it prepares to host a game expected to be watched by a billion people worldwide.
